Jessie, along with her six year old nephew, Davy, has always had a turbulent life. She and her sister, Holly, who was Davy's mother, are members of a well-known outlaw family in the year of 1872. Holly has acted as a mother to Jessie, growing up, as their mother died early in Jessie's life. Their father is one of the members of the Banks gang, though they haven't seen him in years. Also members of the gang are several cousins, an uncle, and various other non-related men. Holly became pregnant at an early age from one of the gang members, and Davy is her child. Holly tried to raise Jessie and also Davy away from the gang's influence. But the gang members will occasionally come to the small farm where they live and take supplies or take a rest from being pursued by law. Around a year and a half earlier, Holly met a man. Devlin Riley. Devlin is a Texas Ranger. He p and Holly fall in love and marry, and Holly has a baby, Owen. For the period of time that Devlin is a part of their lives, there is some stability for Holly and Jessie. He provides for them financially, and when the family gang of outlaws find out she is married to a lawman, they keep their distance for a while. Holly contacts influenza and dies. This story takes place after that, when baby Owen is about seven months old.

She wasn't aware of the stipulations assigned to partnering with the aging vet; stipulations that include working side-by-side with Fletcher Hampton, the man's spoiled, overbearing, arrogant grandson. Fletcher Hampton had 3 things going for him: his looks, his smarts, and a seemingly endless stream of girls more than willing to stay just friends with benefits. When he agreed to move home to spend time with his aging grandfather, and learn the family business through experience rather than what he learned in vet-lab, it was a shock to learn he'd be working with the only girl to ever capture his attention for anything more than meaningless sex. *This world and its characters belong to the Netflix TV show it was inspired by* The incoming Kiley/Dylan/Alex love triangle in S3 of My Life With The Walter Boys has got me completely hooked. I went looking for content online and could barely find any, aside from some TikTok edits. So, I figured I would write an on-going fic myself. I was so happy that we got a lot more time with Kiley in S2 as she kept growing on me. I thought it would be interesting to do the fic from her perspective since she's the center of the new love triangle. This story will cover what could possibly have happened after George went to the hospital, and into Kiley and Alex's second semester of junior year and Dylan's last semester at Silver Falls High as a senior. There is a bit of Isaac/Grace in this too, and of course our beloved Katherine/George (HE'S ALIVE, OK?!) There will also be some Jackie/Cole where relevant as well as and Erin/Danny (my second favorite MLWTWB ship) PLEASE add comments and suggestions for anything you might like to see and I will possibly use it as inspo! The community aspect of this story is going to be one of the most fun parts for me as I go :)
