*Winner of Fantasy Winter Contest 2016* The Autumn night was clear and the stars twinkled far above the dimly lit city, and for the first time, Ludocus the Winter Dragon fell from the sky. He was too tired, his wings too sore to carry him farther. So he stopped flying. And he fell. * * * Enid didn't expect to find a dragon on her morning walk, if only because the peoples of Ivisk had not seen one in centuries, if they even ever existed at all. But she found one, and she's determined to have an adventure and help the Winter Dragon return home.

Ammie Lake is a seemingly normal girl. Although she is way too preppy about everything, nothing seems very out of the ordinary. Only she isn't normal. She is cursed to have a split personality, one personality of a literal demon, wanting to kill everyone and bring suffering, and one personality that is only nice and sweet to others. Although her bad personality was locked away by a spell, it was awoken, and she doesn't know how to control it. Can she keep herself together?

"It all started with a bang." The continent of Astrine may not have been as well renowned for it's military as Skeusil's central countries, but crime wasn't 'normal' either. It especially wasn't normal when a young siren boy living in Atrium-- the country that was home to the royal family-- was reported to have been kidnapped in his own home. A mere thirteen years of age, Androu Siskas wasn't strong enough to stand a chance. He was incredibly intelligent and brave for his age, but it didn't give him the physical strength that he needed to combat his abductors. Some time passed, and Androu was starting to lose hope. But just as he thought that things couldn't get any worse, a wisp like creature began to attack his truck and the people within it. A creature cloaked in ice. - * - * - "Demetria (A Siren's Tale)" is a short-story entry, and one of the winners, for Wattpad's (Fantasy) #wintercontest2016, as well as a story set in the same world as another story of mine-- Ezhno-- and follows a character that is in Ezhno.

In a realm where spring and summer dwell year long, the bitter cold of winter was burdened to all fairies. They were eternally shunned by the were-bloods and merfolk. However, an ancient prophecy speaks of a young fae, born from mixed blood. The Winter Fae is destined to restore the triarchic bond and bring back its peace, letting winter reign again and be returned to its rightful season. Sirena is... different. Let's just say she should have had some aquatic features surface physically by now, but there are none. This is worrying her parents. Not to mention the fact she is the only mermaid to be terrified of water! One day she wakes up in a tree, which is normal for her, but she is drawn to a mysterious part of the forest she never knew existed. With the help of a new friend to get across, (who happens to be an extremely handsome merman) Sirena is led to the shocking discovery that her missing fins and tail, were never there in the first place. #wintercontest2016

This is for the winter contest for a new character that expresses winter. My character is Whittaker. This embodiment of winter is neither a girl nor a boy but an energy that is what we use for the hash and bitterness cold that makes us cold and fearful. This energy is not calming and is very harsh on the human body, but is kind. It doesn't want to hurt our kind but to be loved by us as we lover stories and songs of Jack Frost, The Snow Queen, and Father Winter. During her time in the town she meets a girl who changes her world. Enjoy!

It's hard to describe what- or who- exactly Winter is. It's peace, it's war. It's the cold of the outside, but it's also the warmth of the hearth. It's the ice beneath your feet, but it's also the fire you carry in your pocket. It's a person more than it's a place- it comes and goes, takes and gives. Winter bursts in like a storm- and then it leaves, just as quickly as it comes.

"Hello?" My voice called out, hollow and echoless. I whipped my head around in terror, but there was nothing but snow, snow up to my chest, snow falling from the nothingness above, snow that gleamed white in the dark. I began to panic. My breathing sped up and my heart began to pound. I could hear it in my ears, the thudding that sounded like bullets in the silence. I tried to run in the powdery softness, but I fell. I fell so deeply into the snow that I forgot which way was up or down. Did it matter? I was going to die anyways. Here. Alone. This is a short(ish) story I wrote for the #wintercontest2016. I will make a Part Two if it does well enough in the contest. Have fun reading!
