The Prophetess is a gentle, contemplative poetry collection rooted in lived experience, reverent listening, and quiet wisdom.
The letters within are genuine reflections that become poems-story-like meditations, each one a conversation across time. The individuals addressed throughout the collection are those who have shaped my inner world, my mind, and my heart: souls from ancient history, from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and from more recent times, whose thoughts continue to guide me, sometimes challenge me, and often offer comfort when the world feels heavy.
Inspired by the spirit of The Prophet by Gibran Khalil Gibran, these letter-poems do not instruct or preach. They do not ask the reader to believe as I believe, nor to think as I think. Instead, they honor the quiet truth that wisdom is not imposed, but recognized.
The poems simply walk beside the reader-remembering those who taught me that it is okay to be a sensitive human being: to feel, to love, to see, and sometimes even how to let go. They invite reflection rather than certainty, openness rather than judgment, and kindness rather than fear, gently reminding us that to live with compassion-and, at times, to release memory itself-is a sacred act.
In a world that too often forgets, The Prophetess offers this quiet truth: to be a gentle human being is not weakness-it is courage, it is light carried in the heart, and it is grace at work. 🌹
