When Willow is appointed as the new Hufflepuff Quidditch captain all she wants is to have peace and a little bit of fun. But for some reason Oliver Wood won't stop picking fights with her. Word count: 67 577 Excerpt: I sighed loudly and excessively. "You need to spray it on something and then smell it." I grinned despite myself. However Oliver neglected to spray the perfume anywhere, instead he was eyeing me closely and I felt myself growing restless. I wanted out of this shop as soon as possible and I felt like Oliver was not ready to cooperate. To my surprise he then stepped closer to me with a focused expression. Once the close proximity was reached he carefully lifted my arm and sprayed an equally carefully selected spot on my wrist with the perfume. I looked on dazedly while my wrist was moved until mere millimetres from Oliver's nose and he lingered over it for a moment before he took in the scent. I refused to blink as I watched him consider the scent. "Well that's not it." He said. With his hands on his hips he retrieved to his meticulous study of the perfume bottles on the wall. My throat was so thick I thought it better to let his comment linger in the musky room than give him a strained reply. Once my voice has been regained I uttered, "You're not going to find a perfume for your girlfriend by staring at them. Why don't you just smell as many as you can until you find one you like?" I suggested innocently, not necessarily hoping he would touch any other of my body parts, but also not condemning such an occurrence. Oliver tore his attention from the shelf and looked at me with newfound determination.

When Bianca Zabini finally took the role as quidditch captain and becoming chaser aswell, she was exhilirated. Always having a knack for violence, and even though she knew that she would merely be a chaser. That wouldnt stop her from hitting someone. Oliver Wood hadnt noticed Bianca until she took Marcus Flint spot in the Slytherin team during their 5th year of Hogwarts, and he knew from the moment that the twins cackled when he had asked them about her, that she was no good. He ignored their warnings about her and went on to find out more. He immdiately started paying more attention to her in classes, noting small things to remember in the matches, she was slytherins quidditch captain and he was gryffindors captain and she was his biggest rival. After all he only had a couple of weeks before the quidditch season started, Eventually Bianca caught up with what Wood was attempting to do, catching him trying to see her notes in class was the biggest wake up call. It was the same for Wood, having to go to the hospital wing because you tried to see a girls notes was enough for him. Cover not finished, story not finished either! Oliver and I were not good friends. Never had been. It wasn't for lack of trying. No, it was simply because whenever we spoke we ended up shouting. It was almost like a curse. Every innocent "hello" came with the threat of something breaking in two. A wave or a nod could set off an explosion, and if unscathed one of us would surely have a bad fall somewhere in between. But look, the ozone layer is weak enough as it is without our close proximity adding to the ever building fumes. But today was different. There was an opposing force - I needed him. And when I wanted something I was also a curse to be reckoned with. The curse that caused havoc between the two of us was strong too, sure. But the answer to which of the opposing forces was strongest remained to be seen. I knew I sure as hell wasn't going to let the corrosive energy between us win without a fight. I was going to be on my very best behaviour. Hazmat suit on. Goggles, gloves - the works. I found him in the gym down by the pitch. My imagination went haywire when I heard him grunting as he worked one of the machines and had to stifle visions of Oliver I refused to believe I was capable of.
