'Clap if you believe in Faeries.' Children were the first to report winged creatures, human-like in form but no bigger than the ring finger. These children were ridiculed and sent to asylums to cure their 'imaginations'. They quickly learnt to be silent but to 'clap their hands in delight' to convey faery rings to other seers. Few people realise the nursery rhyme, 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!' is derived from faery chasers. (Page 27, The Beginner's Guide to Faery Watching, By World Faery Society.)

When Philip Ripton accidentally broke the tea caddy he and his deceased wife, Lauren, recieved as a wedding gift, he thinks nothing of it. It's a tea caddy, after all, and he's never even used it. He has much larger things to worry about, like fleeing from his old home and the accidental murder he is being accused of. But the tea caddy was not just a tea caddy. It held the spirit of a very ancient, very vengeful faery. And it doesn't care who it hurts. It just wants revenge on the human race. * Picture credits to the Westbury Faery Society!
