You find a washed-ashore glass bottle with an antique manuscript inside. Its contents are a warning of terrible significance, as well as a travelogue with a mind-bogglingly strange progression and ending. Concise story of a very unusual style. It tells a round tale in a mere 3600 words (one might say so round, that it curves back on itself). The goal was to make it equally entertaining and thought-provoking (this time not morally, but rather as an exercise in imagination). I recommend this to anyone who loves discovery, things that are creatively unconventional, pleasantly bizarre, distant from mundanity, far earlier than present day, and way more advanced than humans... Enjoy! :) * The story's Hungarian version (my original work): https://www.wattpad.com/story/398849724

Harriet Longdale had never believed in ghosts. Despite the stories that and the noises that plagued her daily life, she always thought ghosts to be nothing more than a mind trick. Whilst preparing for a trip to the theatre, Harriet finds herself over one-hundred years into the future with no way of knowing how to get home. Although she may not have believed in ghosts, she certainly didn't expect to become one. (C) Spruce_Goose

Humanity was never supposed to survive. When the Great Council discovered humans, they found a young civilisation already spreading across three worlds with technology advancing faster than anyone expected. At first humanity was welcomed. Then it was restricted. And when fear replaced diplomacy, the Council made an unthinkable decision: half of humanity was to be exterminated. Humanity fled into the unexplored Void. Only a fraction survived. Led by Alex Smith, the survivors found a hidden system, rebuilt their civilisation and promised that no power would ever decide their fate again. Over the following decades, humanity transformed itself-extending life, enhancing the human body, developing wormhole gates, building enormous starships and creating technology far beyond anything the Council could imagine. But humanity never forgot the species that had once stood beside them. When the Council began persecuting those former allies, humans returned from the shadows to rescue them, forming the Human Accord. They recovered enslaved humans, stole Earth back from the Council and even moved the planet itself to safety. The Council responded with a fleet of more than half a million warships. Yet humanity refused to become the monster its enemies feared. Instead of conquest, Alex offered peace. What followed changed the galaxy forever: secret negotiations, battles fought to protect innocent worlds, the creation of neutral Station Zero, and the discovery of the fact-driven Oruun, who would become the galaxy's judges, historians and mediators. Decades later, the Council and Accord stand together instead of against each other. Humanity has hidden its homeworlds inside pocket dimensions, science has reached unimaginable heights, and a galaxy once racing towards war has achieved something nobody believed possible. Peace. Not perfect. Not guaranteed. But working.

Primarily, there are three main characters in Through the Wormhole: Dan Matton, PPMC, and Becca. Dan is the protagonist, PPMC is the deuteragonist, and Becca is the tritagonist. This short document will give you a better insight into who these characters are and their long-term goals. They are, by far, my three most favorite characters I have ever created. That's because one of them can become a prehistoric creature herself. One character is a human boy, another is a starship, and another is something even better!

For three thousand years, the galaxy has known one simple rule: Do not go to war with humanity. Across the Milky Way, humans have earned a name they never wanted-the Monsters of Space. Not because they conquer worlds or build empires, but because every civilisation foolish enough to attack them has learned the same lesson: humanity is terrifyingly good at war. For 412 years, humanity has lived in peace. Then the Tillax arrive. Masters of the Andromeda Galaxy and rulers of an empire built through twelve thousand years of conquest, the Tillax cross the darkness between galaxies expecting another easy victory. Instead, they find humanity waiting. What begins as a desperate defence of billions of refugees becomes something far greater. While enormous fleets clash across the Milky Way, humans secretly establish a foothold inside Andromeda, where they discover enslaved civilisations, forgotten resistance movements and even Tillax who remember what their people were before they became conquerors. Soon, a rebellion spreads across an entire galaxy. Ancient enemies become allies. Impossible technologies are created. Wormholes connect galaxies. A forty-kilometre human warship called the Jolly Roger becomes a legend. And the Tillax unleash a weapon capable of turning a single battle into years of endless war. But humanity isn't fighting to conquer Andromeda. They're fighting so that, when the guns finally fall silent, nobody has to kneel again. Because perhaps the greatest thing about the Monsters of Space isn't how they fight. It's knowing when to stop. Two galaxies. One war. And a future neither could build alone.

She was given a key, and it unlocked something much more than what she had asked for. Her identity. Knowing that part of her was extraterrestrial. And she was not the only one. There were about fifteen hundred more like her, recruited by their 'other half' to be trained in the lost city of Atlantis -- their underwater base on Earth. All to prevent a double-apocalypse that was to come in 2012. But is there more to it? More to why these children were hybrids in the first place? Or why there is a deadly resistance against the bid to save Earth and Bastaeola from extinction?

Moon squinted his eyes. He ran his gloved fingers through his hair and reached out toward the portal. He saw something. He thought he did, at least. He approached the portal, examined the markings and the swirling pool of arcane energies that fed into a wormhole. As Captain Moon approached the portal, he held out his hand, seeing what he assumed was his reflection in the gentle pool of energy. He reached forward, drawn to what he thought was his reflection.
