In the forest of Fort Dra-goon, something is hunting. When a squad of M Corp soldiers enters the forest and begins disappearing one by one, the survivors return with little more than fragmented memories of what they encountered. Their reports describe something impossible, something fast, intelligent, and unlike anything they have ever seen. M Corp refuses to leave the mystery unanswered. More teams are sent into the forest. More people disappear. As the death toll rises, M Corp brings in specialized hunters and begins investigating the creature responsible. But the deeper they look, the more they realize that whatever is in there is strange. Something has been living there for a very long time. And now, humanity has disturbed it. What began as an investigation into a mysterious creature soon becomes a struggle. What is hunting them, why it is there, and what happens when something humans were never meant to find is finally awakened?

Karan vs. The Tarka is a light-hearted, humorous poem inspired by a very real-and rather frustrating-experience. It tells the story of Karan, who finds himself in an unexpected battle with the powerful aroma of his neighbour's tarka. What begins as an ordinary cooking smell soon becomes a daily struggle of sneezing, escaping rooms, and trying to survive the next round of spices. Behind the humour is a simple everyday experience that inspired me to write this poem. I became quite sick because both of my neighbours essentially had the same cook, whose tarka was, unfortunately for me, not the easiest thing to live with! While she cooked, I would sneeze constantly, and afterwards I would often end up with a terrible cold. Instead of simply being annoyed by it, I decided to turn the experience into something funny and write a poem about it. About the Author - Lavanya Y. Rao I'm Lavanya Y. Rao, a new writer who has only recently started exploring the world of writing. I'm still finding my voice, experimenting with different kinds of stories and poems, and learning with every piece I write. The Planes Above Hauz Khas is a nostalgic poem about a young girl who once believed that every airplane flying over her home carried her wishes into the sky. As she grows older, she learns the truth about where planes are going, but she never completely loses the magic of her childhood belief. It is a gentle reflection on dreams, hope, and the little things we carry with us as we grow. About the Author I, Lavanya Y. Rao, am a new and aspiring writer. I find inspiration in the simple moments and little experiences of everyday life. I wrote The Planes Above Hauz Khas after watching a plane fly above my house and imagining the wishes and dreams it might carry away with it.
