My name was Randi Pangabekti, until I died of brain cancer and got reincarnated into the generic magic academy anime "Steelheart of the F-Rank Copymaster Cyberknight" as a random side character named Ryouhei Watanabe instead of the main character Kouki Hiromasa. Not only was Ryouhei a joke character who got folded by the heroine Ingrid van Draakia in the tournament arc, he's an F-Rank Cyberknight with an Armament in the form of a literal house appliance, a goddamn Refrigerator. One that could only make a cold breeze in comparison to the ice powers of Aishea Shirayuki, Kouki's childhood friend and my favorite waifu that I would be gunning for. Despite that, with the healthy and powerful body I obtained, I can finally pursue my dreams to become a great man in this world. Even with my trashy ability, I swear to one day reach the top of the world of Cyberknighthood by achieving S-Rank. Becoming the best student in Tenmu Academy by surpassing the strongest characters like Suishin Nishinomiya the school president and Kouki himself. Hell, unlike him, I'll even create my own harem kingdom! However, I never foresaw that the world had changed in mysterious ways I never expected. AIs have spread throughout the system, beginning the efforts of terraforming the various worlds within their local neighborhood, and sending mankind's eyes further and further out beyond the Kuiper belt. Then, the light from a nearby supernova engulfs the Solar System. Nearby Spica, a binary system 240 light years from Earth, has exploded, producing more light than an entire galaxy full of suns. Mankind and AI's telescopes turn outwards during the event, seeking new plutoids and dwarf worlds to colonize, and discover something ominous. A rogue planet three times the size of Earth, approaching at high speeds through the Oort cloud, scattering comets in its wake. At first, mankind plans to arrange a rendezvous with the strange rogue, but signs that the world was once inhabited combine with strange radio signals coming from the world itself to indicate that the rogue is something more than just a dead rock hurled out from its sun, possibly something far more valuable--or more deadly--than a new planet. I wouldn't be surprised if you could trace your lineage back to royalty," she said, as I held up a hand to stop her. "I'm an orphan, and let me stop you there," I said, "I'm nobody. Always have been, always will be. Yeah, I built my own place, and I'm more than content to be alone." I said that, and looked away, offering no more words of sage advice to the young Princess. She sat there, embroiled in thought, and she opened her mouth a few times as though she had something to say, before she shook her head. "Nobody who is content to be alone would say so," Grace said.

In a world where superpowers make you either a celebrity or a criminal, Aether chose a long time ago where she stands.
