After the fall of Insomnia and death of King Regis and the disappearance of Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, Niflheim's Imperial Army made Lucis an unstable country as they stole the crystal. People are scared, frightened and horrified of what the future holds for them. Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum and his loyal friends, Prompto Argentum, Gladiolus Amicitia and Ignis Scientia have a set goal and journey to return to Insomnia and reclaim Insomnia's Throne. However, the Imperial Army are taking extreme measures to not allow the Prince to take his place in the Kingdom, even if it means killing those who were close to the royal family and their allies. A mysterious female ally of Noctis and Prompto is in danger and she is a key to stop the Imperial Army advancing it's world domination ideology. What is her connection with Niflheim and Noctis and Prompto? ----- I do NOT own any content of Final Fantasy XV (characters and plot). This is a fanfiction based on my ideas. The OC characters are my personal idea. Please watch the Kingsglavie movie and the BROTHERHOOD anime as some of the content from the two will be added in the fanfiction. Prompto has been captured by Ardyn. The boys are trying to find their friend, before the worst happens to the blonde or Lucis itself. To stay alive and survive the mental and physical torture Ardyn is putting him through, Prompto must delve into his memories and figure out a way to live while his friends searched for him. Noctis is filled with guilt and self hate, knowing it was his fault that Prompto was captured. The prince looks inside his own memories, trying to find a way to cope with the pain and anger he felt towards himself. Ignis wanted the fun loving blonde of their group back. The car too quiet, with no snap of the camera, and no jokes being told. The adviser would often start going into his memories to find his sense of peace. Gladiolus wouldn't admit it aloud, but he did miss the blonde's whining. Prompto even though annoying at times, did lighten the mood when needed. Though when the whining and small comments were stolen from the group, the shield became more and more closed off, going into his own memories, like the rest of the group. To find a reason to be feeling such sadness and anger for when the blonde was taken from the group.

Imagine being told that you could save your brother from certain death, but only at the cost of your own life. Would you do it? Would you spend eternity getting tortured so that your brother could live free and happy? I know that I would, and I did... and you know what... I don't regret it. Not one bit.

Confused, Shonagh stops asking people what the mark is for and hides it with whatever she can. Whatever it is, it's not welcomed in Lucis.

These are Final Fantasy oneshots, mostly focusing on VII and the games in the extended universe because it's my favorite. I got advice from a good friend and made some edits to this story. Hopefully, now it is a little easier to understand. All votes and comments are welcomed. Watch as she learns to love and let people in. as she realizes the people have been watching out for her all along even if she never saw them.
