In the glittering chaos of New York City, two royal heirs from opposite worlds collide in a moment that changes everything. Princess Amara has spent her life behind perfect smiles and unbreakable poise. To the world, she's elegance and control. To herself, she's a girl trapped in expectations she never chose. When she's sent to the Manhattan Royal Summit, she plans to keep her guard high and her heart closed. Prince Noah has never met a challenge he didn't chase. Charming, bold, and dangerously confident, he's used to getting what he wants-until he meets the one girl who refuses to be impressed. One look into Amara's eyes, and he knows he's in trouble. The kind he can't walk away from. Their first encounter sparks more than either of them expects-chemistry, rivalry, curiosity, and something neither of them is ready to name. But in a world where every glance is watched and every mistake becomes a headline, falling for each other might be the most dangerous thing they can do. Two crowns. Two hearts. One city that might just change their destinies. Royal Hearts is a modern royal romance filled with tension, slow-burn chemistry, and the kind of love that feels impossible... until it isn't.

After breaking up with her boyfriend, seventeen-year old Aleria "Ali" Hayes finally feels liberated. Unfortunately, her ex's buddies are not making it easy on her. When his friends harass her one night, a mysterious stranger, Bowen, steps in to rescue her. But just as this new relationship seems to be taking off, Ali is attacked by something far worse than spiteful high school boys. Now, Ali must decide who she can trust, and whether the world of mortals is worth saving at all. I tried to push him back, but he was too strong, like iron. Suddenly, his head snapped up like he had heard something, he craned his neck to listen, and then he let out a hiss. He kissed next to my ear and softly whispered, "I think breaking you will be much more fun. I'll see you soon." And then he added, as if an afterthought, "Tell him hello for me." Then I felt his mouth lock onto the base of my neck and something pierce my flesh. It hurt. Despite my panic, after a few moments, my heart slowed and everything became distorted as the blackness came for me. THIS IS A SIX CHAPTER SAMPLE

As a middle school teacher, I am constantly in awe of the relationship between children and their cell phones! Most children are closer with their phones than any of their friends. It's become quite problematic. I've had students who cannot fathom more than moments at a time without their precious cell phones by their side. The need to check social media and be involved in the latest viral craze has become quite an epidemic. I wrote a story about one boy who so badly wanted to a part of the wave. However, his desire for a cell phone becomes an experience he will never, ever forget. Jessie Davidson is tired of being left out of group chats and Instagram posts! Everywhere he looks, his friends and classmates are hanging out not with each other, but through their cell phones. Jessie desperately wants to be included and constantly feels left out. His problem is that his parents don't believe that he should own a cell phone at such a young age. What's a young boy to do? Well, Jessie's problems appear to be solved one day when mysterious things start happening all around him. A strange looking man appears to Jessie and offers him a deal which he cannot refuse. A deal that gets Jessie exactly what he's always dreamed of, or so he thought. A deal that gets him his very own, brand new cell phone. Jessie finds out the hard way quickly that things are not always as they appear to be when his phone, his ticket for popularity and social super stardom begins doing things he could never dream possible. I'm inspired by they way young children interact with technology and social media, and think it is quite a frightening scene in 2019. I think there are endless scares to be had with modern day technology, and many books to be written. I envision a series of books revolving around the fears modern day technology, most notably social media, cell phones and gaming can bring. My goal is to bring our oldest fears to life through these new outlets for children.
