Haru Suzuki was a Japanese-American ice skater and a close rival to Viktor Nikiforov in their early years. During the finals of the Grand Prix, Haru attempts a quadruple lutz, something he had yet to land properly. It was a risky thing to do which resulted in a severe knee injury that ended his career when it was just beginning, but Haru's bad luck doesn't end there. Three months after his accident his coach and biggest support, his mother, is killed in a car accident. Now after four years of being out the game, Haru is stepping on the ice once again. Against all odds, the concern of his therapist and the wishes of his father, Haru wants one last chance to be the best in the memory of his mother.
