Zuko has just joined the 'gaang' at the Western Air Temple, which is where he formally meets Sokka. The two quickly become good friends since the age gap is so small, but soon they realize they don't want to be just friends.

Sokka went fishing first. When Katara went to look for him, he'd already disappeared. As Katara frees Aang from the iceberg, an unconscious Sokka is found stuck in the fishing net of Zuko's ship.

Sokka is having trouble figuring himself out. He doesn't know what's going on in his life and it doesn't help that the world needs his help to figure itself out. How can he help the world if he can barely help himself? It all just seems a lot to take in, but thankfully, even though the world is filled with the worst heartbreaks one can imagine, it can also be blessed with the most beautiful miracles anyone has ever seen.

Professor Iroh groups them together in a project and as they unwind and entangle their confusing feelings about each other, as their bond blossoms into something deeper than friendship with the help of friends and family.

A couple years after the war, the Gaang decides they're long overdue for a vacation. Firelord Zuko suggests they pack up and head for his newly remodeled beach house on Ember Island. However, when they arrive, Sokka and Zuko are met with an unfortunate sleeping situation. Will their time at Ember Island allow new feelings to grow? Is this the trip of their dreams- or nightmares?

Takes place maybe 5-6 years after ATLA arc. Aged up. Edit: Zuko doesn't have the best people skills, or leadership skills to be honest. But guess who does? It may take some time for him to realize it, but Zuko enlists Sokka to help with another redemption arc for the Fire Nation. Working together, learning together, loving toge- who said anything about that?! Wait, are there feeling here? Feelings can't get in the way of the mission...world peace is at stake! (Also, how I want to envision the bridge between ALTA and LoK to be established. All it takes is some gayyy) "It's the meeting with the other nations. They all think I have all the answers!" Zuko threw up his arms in aggravation. "I don't know what I'm doing!?" He slumped down onto the foot of Sokka's bed, holding his face in his hands. Confused at the candor of his former rival, he lifted a hand to pat his shoulder. One tap...a hesitation, then a couple more taps, "That's rough, Buddy." Unfortunately for him, he sleeps through his alarm one day and misses the class where they assign partners for the semester long project and gets stuck with the callous guy who seems to want nothing to do with him. (Zuko, obviously). Throughout the semester through various incidents and moments the two slowly turn from project partners into a different kind of partner. *Full of cliches and tropes but hopefully still a cute little story about two idiots falling in love.
