When Aang was shot down and claimed to be dead... Another had fallen and was also claimed dead, accept he was really dead. Prince zuko. When the gaang finds out the tragic death of the prince of the fire nations murder they almost seem to feel it's unreal, the boy that have hunted them will never bother them again... They all feel different about it, guilt, confused, even the thought of zuko not deserving it, but also anger yet relief... That's until one of them runs into the blue spirit and finds out a dark secret that only one other knows of. "Zuko?"

Aang didn't manage to get back Katara's necklace from Zuko. He hates it. He wanted Katara happy. He wanted Katara. But things don't look good for him in the romance department. Katara doesn't seem interested most of the time. Whenever Aang manages to have a mildly romantic moment with her, she comes back to mom friend attitude straight after. He doesn't lose hope though. As Sokka said, the key part to hold another person interested is to act like you don't care. Maybe that's what Katara is doing? Zuko still has the necklace. He keeps it a secret from everybody, even uncle Iroh. He holds on to it whenever things go bad for him. He thinks about it nonstop, he's paranoid that someone might find it. Although he likes keeping the necklace to himself, he wants to return it to the rightful owner. When she stops hating him, maybe? Meanwhile Katara sticks to not wearing any necklace. Although from time to time Aang tries to give her another one, she never accepts them. She doesn't like the reason why her little brother is constantly trying to give her a substitute for the necklace she lost. Because from time to time, she still thinks about her old necklace and the person who is currenlty owning it.

The invasion had failed, and their forces were scattered. Aang could not find the Fire Lord, let alone defeat him. The gang escape the city on Appa with handful of other teenagers but leave behind the rest of the their invasion force to be taken in as prisoners by the Fire Nation including Hakoda. Katara and Sokka reluctantly agreed to separate from their father. Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious and pursuant lone figure clothed in fire nation attire followed suit in the hot air balloon with fire nation insignia. What will happen when Zuko catches up with them? Will they forgive and accept him as part of their group? Will Katara give him another chance? ___________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: Hi everyone, my story picks up after the Black Sun/Solar Eclipse Invasion, when the kids escape on Appa to the Westtern Air Temple and Zuko follows them to join their gang. I am also assuming that it has been 3 years since Aang emerged out of the iceberg, which means that the events of series/episodes prior to the invasion all took place within the span of 3 years since Aang returned. This suits my story as I have aged up all the characters in this story. The current age of all characters, where my story picks up, is as follows: Zuko is 20; Sokka is 19; Suki & Katara, Azula, Tylee & Mai are 18; Aang & Toph are 15 ***ACKNOWLEDGEMENT*** I DO NOT own Avatar: the Last Airbender, nor the idea and concept behind it. Zutara happens!!! Here is my version of what the rest of the Avatar the Last Airbender would look like if Zutara actually happened. I start from the Agni Kai between Azula and Zuko and we just go from there. I just want to add, I made the effects of Zuko's lightning wound a lot worse than they were portrayed in the show, since I feel like, even though he did get healed by Katara, his reactions and recovery time were very unrealistic (that's probably just me though). I also came up with some new concepts that have to do with Chi and the Spirit World, so hopefully they work with the story and the rest of the Avatar Universe. When Katara and the Gaang get separated right after the crystal catacomb tomb in Ba Sing Se, Katara realizes she may not be able to help save the whole world, but she sure can save a few villages. He did not, he continued to nudge and press for an answer. Katara began to feel like the floor was slipping from under her. The room was no longer still and she was growing increasingly dizzy. She grabbed on to a column to steady herself. Zuko rushed to her side, bracing her against his warm body. Their eyes met briefly and Zuko found the answer he had been searching for.

Most zutara stories are an enemies to lovers but mine will be enemies to lovers but a little bit of slow burn. I hope you guys enjoy
