am I the only person who thinks cutting hair (or any other method of changing your appearance) after going through something hard (like death, breakup, etc) ridiculous? like your appearance doesn't matter, its your mindset. what's the difference between long hair and short hair if you still think the same way, and you still have the same thoughts? oh and the fact this usually only happens to girls in books or movies (NOTE THE USUALLY, YES I HAVE SEEN SOME MALE HUMANS DO IT TOO, BUT THE RATIO IS LIKE 8:2 OR SOMETHING). your appearance doesn't define you, your mindset does. also, it feels a lot like a stereotypical thing to do. of course, this is just my thought, im never giving my characters (or myself) a cut just cause 'i FeEl DiFfErEnT fRoM yEsTeRdAy, So My ApPeAraNcE nEeDs To ChAnGe ToO'. I'll completely flip their personalities rather than have them hack off their hair or steal a new clothing style or something. its a dumb excuse, and it doesn't even make sense to me.

@giaswrld I just don’t understand the appeal of destroying property because someone made you mad or just broke up with you, like what? All that said, if my boyfriend ever cheated on me I would dump glitter all over his house or apartment, but I wouldn’t break anything!

@-hidd3nscxrs- FR! I mean I guess I could understand if having something physical change could help with your mindset (like if you have a messy room your mind is more disorganized but a clean room and your head is clearer)
