heyy im here to answer your question! soo emi’s story is so her fr  loud chaotic lil all over the place but real and full of heart
          
          she actually started off wanting to go into j-pop like she grew up in osaka always dancing since forever basically joined this local dance crew did a bunch of freestyle battles underground style yk and even tried out for a couple j-pop agencies
          her mom was all for it but her dad was kinda like hmm not sure abt the whole idol thing lol
          
          but the moment that changed everything ?? she went on this school trip to seoul when she was 15 and somehow ended up at a music show taping and BTS  performed that day (like hello destiny was cooking) and it just… messed her UP
          she said watching them was like her brain lagged the way they danced the energy the styling the whole stage it didn’t feel real she literally said
          
          “it looked like a movie but real life and i remember thinking i wanna be that unreal”
          
          after that she fell into the blackpink fancam hole and got obsessed w/ training like actually building herself from scratch
          she said j-pop felt too “follow the rules” back then and emi’s always been more like nah i’m gonna make my own lane thx
          
          but the final push ?? it was this convo w/ her older cousin who just looked at her one day and went
          
          “if ur gonna chase something crazy… go all the way crazy”
          
          and emi was like bet
          she auditioned for hybe japan got in trained 2 yrs and then ended up on dream academy that made katseye
          no plan b no what ifs just pure vibes and fight
          
          and now she’s here mic in hand pink roots fans screaming her name
          wild as hell but so herrrr

AHHH STOP that means so much fr  emi’s story just writes itself yk?? like she’s that girl who’ll fall flat on her face mid spin but still get up like “wait lemme do it again but fiercer”  the pink roots... the dance battles in a random parking lot in osaka at 11pm... the way BTS triggered her final boss mode?? it’s all so cinematic
            
            AND WAIT WHAT— a custom illustration of emi ??? pls i’m losing it already just imagining her in her baggy pants mid-freestyle w/ scraped knees n a bandaid on her cheek or that moment she’s standing in the music show crowd eyes wide sparkly as hell while BTS performs like... omg the VISIONNNN like she's barely taller than the speaker but already serving face and fire... and it’s LITERALLY ruka from babymonster 
            
            that same sharpness in the eyes, the way she moves like she’s been dancing since birth, that quiet “i got this” confidence?? 100% ruka energy. even her pink roots era?? ugh SO her. she didn’t dye her hair to be cute she dyed it to declare war on the stage lol
            
            so yeah

@cheers4lixx OMG, thank youuu for spilling Emi’s story like this, it’s so her!  The way she went from Osaka dance battles to literally rewriting her destiny after seeing BTS?? ICONIC. And that cousin’s advice? Chef’s kiss. No wonder she’s out here owning the stage like it’s her birthright.
