I guess I'm just a generally creative person who has never been able to focus on one thing. I started writing short stories, in my free time, around 2nd grade and have always considered it something I could "do" but was never quite good at. Then music took over my life, once I joined band in 3rd grade. I always kept writing, and hoped to one day write a novel. About, 20 unfinished books later...I still haven't figured that out. But, in the years between I discovered a love for writing poetry and have written several that I am actually *mostly* proud of.



I suppose this is my attempt to force myself to embrace the author in me once again, and finally finish writing something. I'll probably upload a dozen "Chapter One/Prologue" posts, and hopefully enough people will read one/some of them and like them enough to yell at me and force/inspire me to keep writing.



This could also, probably, be considered a band directors reprieve from writing or thinking about music, since that is what I spend about 85% of my day doing.
