his parents, though they don't perfectly understand, they support. they always have. they support him from behind the gates of their nice community, where boys grow up to be football stars, not guitarists or singers. but they knew their son wouldn't be a sports star since the day he was born. they were okay with that. he sometimes hated them, hated the prissy neighborhood they lived in and hated how they tried to fit in even when they didn't. but he loved their unwavering support for his art.

he's 18. no college plans, just the hope that one day his shitty garage band will be more than exactly that. he walks the halls of school with such adamance that all the students attend his shows at dingy dive bars. he shoves flyers in their hands and offers 5 bucks to attend. paying people to see him perform when really, they should be paying him. but he wants nothing but success, to be able to play his music for the world one day.

"ah — ! my deepest apologies , sir hayes! it seems my attention strayed elsewhere. how foolish of me , to retreat to my mind whilst the world continues to move around me. you didn't suffer any injuries due to our collision , did you?"

“Any luck today? Anyone I would give fliers to would just shove them back in my face. I promise I’m really trying dude.”

“Honestly that doesn’t sound to bad. Pay someone to come to the show.” He just leaned back in the seat he was sitting in.

@-Bass_Strings- "nada. no interest for good music in this school. dude, i'm seriously thinking about resorting to paying these people."
