Have you ever read a book portraying a suicidal character as a romantically tragic soul? Or perhaps a story idealizing skipping school with the 'bad boy'?

 #UnlikeMovies is a campaign by Aanya and Karen (est. 31 January 2016), dedicated to the fight against the romanticizing of not just mental illness, but anything from skipping class to the perfect relationship. Not only is it unhealthy to idealize something imposed by society, but it breeds others to continue the cycle of an unrealistic or destructive view on the meaning of perfect or cool. Because no matter how much we'd like to think otherwise, life just isn't like the movies.
