Chapter 3: Kei's Guardian

Kei's P.O.V

After three days of resting in the hospital, I was finally being released since the doctors said that my body was finally recovered from exhaustion and dehydration.

Now I was just waiting for the Hokage to check me out and show me where my new home is located.

After a few minutes, the Hokage showed up.

"Good morning Kei," he greeted.

"Morning, sir," I greeted. "So you got me a place?" I asked.

"Yes, but instead of getting you an apartment. I found someone who agreed to be your guardian," he said.

'Cool, hopefully, whoever it is caring like my mother.' I thought.

"Really, who are they?" I asked.

"You can come in now," he said, turning to face the door.

A woman with violet hair spikey hair in a ponytail and light brown eyes. Wearing a tan overcoat over a mesh bodysuit, orange mini skirt, and a dark blue belt. With a forehead protector with a leaf symbol on it.

'This is my guardian? She looks kind of scary.'

"Kei, this is Anko Mitarashi, your guardian," Lord Hokage.

"So this is the girl you want me to take care of, Lord Hokage?" Anko asked, looking over at me.

"Yes, this is Kei Misaki," Lord Hokage said.

"Well then, kid, let's check you out of the hospital and get you settled in at my place," Anko said.

"Okay, coming," I said, grabbing my bag.

"Anko keep her out of trouble, and remember tomorrow, her first day at the Academy," Lord Hokage said.

"Don't worry, Lord Hokage. I keep the brat in line and get her to the Academy on time for her first day tomorrow."

"Well then, your both free to go," Lord Hokage said.

I nodded and followed Anko outside of the hospital room.

After checking out of the hospital., I was mow following Anko back to her place.

"So, where do you live, Anko?" I asked.

"I live in a house not too far away from here," Anko replied. "Where actually about to be there in a few minutes."

"Okay," I said.

'I might not have found my father, but at least I won't be living alone. Through I still plan on finding a way to locate my father. I want to meet him and see what he like.' I thought.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Anko.

"We're here, kid," Anko said.

I looked to see a light brown building with a red roof.

"Follow me inside, and I will show you your room," Anko said, walking over towards the door, and pulling out a key, and opening the door.

I followed inside the house.

"I show you your room upstairs," Anko said, leading me upstairs.

She stopped at the second room on the left.

"This one is your room," she opened, opening the door.

I followed her inside and saw a red bed, black nightstand, black dresser for my clothes, a red mirror, and a white desk.  The wall was also painted purple.

"Nice room," I said.

"Glad you like I had it painted and decorated the day Lord Hokage asked me to be your guardian," she said. "I didn't know your favorite color, so I just got red, black, and white furniture. The wall was painted purple because it looked good with the table, in my opinion. "

"That's fine; it's a cool combination of colors," I replied.

"Well, go ahead and put everything in your bag where you want it. While I make something for both of us to eat," she said, walking over to the door to head to the kitchen.

"Alright, " I said.  "What are you going to make ?" I asked.

"I was planning on making Miso soup. You like soup, kid?"

"Yeah, I love soup," I replied.

"Then Miso soup it is. I'll come and  let you know when it is ready."

I nodded and unzipped my bag so I could put my belongings away.

I took out the picture of my mom and placed it on my nightstand next to my bed, and then put the clothes I packed away in my dresser.

I decided to just keep the note from my mother inside of my bag.

Once I had everything put where I wanted it. I decided to just relax on my bed while waiting for food to be ready.
