Diamond's POV
City of Chino Hills said the sign as me and my mom drove back to a place we once called our home. This is where I was born and raised, the only place I had ever known before we had to pack up our entire life to Washington. I was happy for my mom, but I definitely wasn't ready to say goodbye. Goodbye to my house, school, city, friends, Lamelo. Life in Washington wasn't bad at all except for the evil cold temperatures but I'm glad to be out of there and back in Chino Hills.
"Diamond do you hear me? We're home!" my mom says as she pulls up to a huge driveway snapping me out of my trance. It was a 16 hour trip but because of me we've been on the road for about 3 days so I was glad to finally end this terror.
Taking out my AirPods to hear her better, I respond "Did you say were home ? I know I was young when we left, but this definitely isn't our old house"
My mom chuckles
"Mom this is way tooo big, it's just you, me, and Dave can we even afford this" I genuinely ask.
I stepped out the car to meet Dave ,my stepdad since the 5th grade, who is pulling up with the U-Haul, my car, and the movers. "Dave mom got the directions lost and pulled up to this big ass house" I report to him."Language!" My mom yells from her seat. I roll my eyes and laugh, my mom always switches from being strict or being chill. Dave chuckles and says "No kid, this is ours. I want to make this our family home for decades to come open to our grandparents, cousins, grandchildren. Have you called Sabrina and skai yet ? I know your excited to see them"
My face instantly lights up "of course! They sent me their location so can I pleaaaaseee skip out on the unpacking tonight, most of these boxes aren't even mines pleaseee" I beg Dave making puppy dog eyes
Dave reluctantly says "Fine! Fine! Get out of here before your mom kills the both of us"
I rush out and give him a hug before he can change his mind I rush to get into my car. I hurry up put on my seat belt, start the gps, and turn the Bluetooth to the loudest letting the music tell my mom that I'm leaving and I probably woke up a few Neighbors in the process.MELO'S POV
