My name is Abigail Smith. I live in California, and next door is Edward Kennedy. I moved here from London only 2 years old when I was 14, Eddie was only 3 months older than me. We were best friends. We went to the beach every day, we even found a small cave which we called our spot.
Nobody could separate us, together at home, school, the bus and beach. And every night we would chat through our windows for hours, then eventually fall asleep.
But that all changed this morning. This morning I woke up, went to the end of the garden to walk with Eddie to the bus stop. He's not there. Mrs Kennedy is there, a sweet lady.
"A little note from Edward, we're going to miss you!" She gave me a little squeeze and a note, I'm much to shy to ask what she's on about, I let her go.No Eddie at the bus stop, or the bus. I sat in our place anyway. The note was written in his script writing,
'My Abby,'
I opened it up, not sure what to expect.
'My Abby, I'm sorry to leave you. We're moving as you've probably figured. I'll miss you. The day we first met, I'll remember that. I'll remember our spot and falling into the water together. I love you, Abby. I've loved you since we first met. I don't know if you've noticed, and I'm sorry to tell you like this. But you had to know. Don't dwell on me, live your life. That dream was planted in your heart for a reason.
All my love, Eddie♡"
