They used to tell me I glow,
Praising my radiance,
Claiming I'd steal the hearts of those I desired,
My innocence just a chest piece,
My youth, just a pawn.
They chased me around,
Begging me to fly for them,
Pleading me to glow for them,
So I did,
Over,
And over,
Until that light was snuffed out.
