THERE WEREN'T MANY PLACES ONE COULD GO IN BEACON HILLS WITHOUT A CAR. The Californian toward was spread far and wide, making it difficult to go anywhere unless you had a steady vehicle, or in Jules' case──a little brother willing to share. The ragged sunny blue jeep, poorly nicknamed Roscoe, technically belonged to Jules and Stiles, but with her lack of driving skills, it quickly became Stiles'. Jules didn't mind at first, mainly because she didn't have a license until six months ago. The jeep was old, more unreliable than Stiles himself and Jules was no mechanic. She was okay with not being responsible for a car with more copious amounts of duct tape than actual car parts, but the worn-down vehicle had sentimental value, once belonging to their late mother.

Jules just wanted to use it more, but like everything else, Stiles got his way. Whenever Stiles was using the jeep, doing whatever with Scott, Jules had to find her own way around. Unfortunately for her, Beacon Hills public transportation was less than decent, and her only friend was a worse driver than her.

It didn't leave her with much, but if Jules Stilinski was anything──she was resourceful.

Jules pressed her foot against the paved asphalt, pushing herself down the street on the skateboard she might've stolen. The streets were illuminated by dull street lamps and the bright outdoor lights from those that could afford a high power bill. It was nine o'clock at night, the town slowly beginning to fall into a deep slumber. The sky was dark and sauntered in gray clouds threatening to trickle down on the teenage girl. However, behind those dreary white shadows was the moon, immersing the sleepy town in its pearly glow.

Jules didn't mind the blanketed horizon with an almost celestial gleam. She found beauty and tranquility in it. Jules didn't have any expectations to live up to. Sure, the consuming stillness allowed her to reflect on things she didn't want to think about, such as her mother's death or her fresh breakup, if you could call it that, with Lydia Martin. She got to be herself without the prying eyes of her peers and the judgments they gave her.
