I Almost Died In 2005

~Roits POV~

I breathed in slowly, my eyes closed, finger tips barly toushing the water. I felt energy move under my hands as the waters moved to form a wave. I opened my eyes and started paddling out, a ten footer was coming in not far ahead of me. I could feel my heart speed up, my breath caught as i stood up steady on my board.

Images flashed through my head. This is when it happened, i had just stood up when it attacked. It took my best friend, Janey, first then it took Stephen... Blood was in the water. I managed to get to Steph as the boat came. I held on to him, he wasn't breathing.

I body shook at the unwelcomed memories, causing me to fall back into the wave. It wirrled me in, bringing me around and around with it.

My head is killing me. I need to get out of this wave. But everyone knows that once a wave had put you in it's tow, your at the merce of god... There's nothing i can do...

I'm going to die... I thought moments before black ness overtook my sinces.

~Ronnie's POV~

God she looks beautiful on that wave. But she looks nervous, and scared. I'm not exactly sure what happened that day at the compitions but i know that whatever it was messed with her. I mean she grew up surffing, it was her life, and after that day she was terrorfied to get near the water. She seemed nervous when i had her at the water earlier, but i never realized it was her until she told me. I kind of feel bad for it now. But i'm just glad that she's ok. I mean we're all watching, nothing could happen.

That's when i saw her plumt back into the water and i started paddling out as soon as i saw her fall. My arms burned at how fast i wastearing my arms through the water. "Riot!" I yelled, just in case she had come up and i couldn't see her.

The wave had dyed down now and i couldn't find her. My heart was pounding. "RIOT! WHERE ARE YOU!? RIOT!?" I screamed. There was no answer.

By now Cassie and Derek had come out to help look. "RIOT!" I screamed. Just as i saw her name i saw her... laying face down in the water. "GUYS I FOUND HER!!! GO BACK TO SHORE! CALL 911!" I got to her and pulled her oto my board. She wasn't beathing. "NO NO NO NO! Riot! Wake up! Come on! We're almost to shore ok?! Hold on!"

Once we got to shore i pulled her up onto the beach. A lifeguard ran over and he started to give her mouth to mouth. And i know he was saving her life, and thats the only reason i wasn't beating the shit out of him right now, but it kind of made me angry. She is mine. No one should touch my girl.

I clamed down and rubbed her hand, "Come on Ri. Wake up baby." Just then she chocked up water, we helped her sit up. She started gaspping for air and wrapped her arms around me. burrying her face into my shoulder. "Sh, it's ok Riot. Your ok. Sh."

She cryed a little into me and i just sat there in the sand, rocking her back and forth. After a while she calmed down. Cassie and Derek had packed our things up and put them in the car. I picked her up and carried her to the car. She sat on my lap while we went to Cassie's house.

She snuggled up to me, her breath hitting my bare chest. I don't know how anyone could look as amazing as she does right after they almost died. I mean it doesn't matter when it is, or what just happened. She always looks like the mostamazing thing on earth. I just can't believe that she's mine. That's my girl and i love her.... I love her.

I looked down into her eyes, "Riot... I love you."

Her eyes brightned, "I love you too."
