One month later.
Hongjoong giggled as ticklish kisses peppered his skin. He ran his hands through Seonghwa's hair, twirling the silky black strands around his fingers and revelled in the blissful delight of being wrapped up in his strong arms.
Seonghwa held him straddled across his lap and his claw-tipped fingers gracefully ran all over his body. Across his shoulders, down his back, over his clothed thighs. Hongjoong's skin grew warmer with every light graze of his claws, every kiss made his skin flush pink and his heart pound with the desire for more.
Hongjoong's hair spilled over his face as he exposed his neck, expelling a breathy moan when Seonghwa's kisses trailed up to his jaw. The older's skin felt refreshingly cool against Hongjoong's own raging hot body and he arched his back, pushing himself closer against Seonghwa, wanting to cool the fiery desire coursing through his veins.
Though their lower halves were clothed, Hongjoong's mind couldn't focus on anything else but the friction between their bodies, his mind spinning with the pleasurable sensation every slight movement caused.
"Hwa," he called breathily as Seonghwa's kisses inched closer to his lips.
The older hummed in response, slowly grinding his hips against Hongjoong's, claws digging ever so slightly into his lower back.
Hongjoong moaned again and he matched Seonghwa's movement with a slight tilt of his hips. A sweet sound fell from Seonghwa's lips and Hongjoong swallowed it as their lips met, unable to hold back the bubbling frenzy of emotions within him.
He craved Seonghwa, the beautiful amethyst-eyed beast, more than he craved life itself. Every breath filled him with life, every moan fueled the beating of his mortal heart. There was simply nothing more important in the world than Seonghwa, the royal-blooded creature who loved him so tenderly, with so much passion it felt like he had ascended to a different plane of reality.
In fact he had, in a way. In the month since Seonghwa had claimed him, Hongjoong had lived a decadent life far removed from the old mundane life he had before. He lived exclusively within the castle in all it's otherworldly splendor, doted on and fed an abundance of divine meals that Seonghwa's brother Jongho greatly enjoyed making for him.
He was free to walk around the castle by himself, only once Seonghwa had become fully satisfied that no other beast would dare touch him. The only place Hongjoong was not allowed to enter was the Banquet Hall, but for obvious reasons Hongjoong gladly abided by Seonghwa's orders.
But instead of discovering the castle on his own, he frequently stayed by Seonghwa's side. The bond they shared had quickly evolved into a partnership wherein they were practically inseparable. Hongjoong remained by Seonghwa's side for meetings and other business within the castle, though Seonghwa had deemed it unsafe for him to go on errands with him beyond the castle walls.
Hongjoong didn't mind, however, because with the coming of dawn Seonghwa would always find him and take him to his favourite place: beneath the black satin sheets of his enormous four poster bed, wrapped up in his arms. That was their own personal heaven, hidden away behind black silk curtains, under the warm glow of the chandeliers. Just the two of them.
Hongjoong could easily sleep all day enveloped in Seonghwa's arms, so he quickly grew accustomed to the lifestyle of the beasts, where instead of sleeping at night, they slept during daylight hours. Thick curtains cloaked all the windows in the castle, blocking out the troublesome sunlight but Hongjoong found he didn't miss the daylight at all. The only thing he missed was Seonghwa in the brief moments he would be without him, though their reunion would always chase away any pangs of anxiousness pinned in his chest.
