Chapter 24

After eating, I took the medicine as I went to the sink to wash my hand.

My empty wrist took my attention and ask to myself,

"Where's my bracelet anyway?"

I always wear it often though. I didn't even realize I'm not wearing it now.

I rushed to the bathroom to see if I left it there earlier but it's not. I immediately head to the bed and pulled the covers to see if it's there but still there's no trace of it.

"No, I can't lose it." I said to myself as I keep searching for it.

It's so important to me because I gave my grandmother a promise to take care of it.

Without knowing, my tears started to fall down as my heart gets heavy.

I then remembered what happened last night and decided to go out because I thought that maybe it fell off my hand while I was running.

Because of hurry, I didn't even get to tell everyone that I'm going out.

The gigantic door opened as I head outside.

I don't know where to start but I started to search somewhere in that area.

Fortunately, there were lights so it's not hard for me to search on the ground.

"Where is it.." I said while tears keep falling as I keep on wiping it off since I can't see clearly if my eyes are blurry.

I head to the familiar area where I collapsed last night since it's a downward hill.

I bent down and started searching on the ground.

I have to find it!

I was surprised to hear a voice from behind.

"Y/n-ahh!"

Sunghoon ran through me.

"What are you do-" he stopped as he saw my tears.

I wiped it off and said,

"I lost a precious thing.." I said as my voice cracked because my heart is getting heavier.

"I gave my words to grandma..that I'll take good care of it but..*sobs* I just lo-"

I didn't finished as Sunghoon suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me in for a hug.

My eyes widen in surprise.

"W-what are you-.."
"Don't cry." He said while I remained frozen on my feet.

He broke the hug as he looked at me and wiped my tears.

I was surprised even more when he held my hand and put on the bracelet I've been looking for.
