As Luke tried to use the force, he failed for the 6th time. He threw his father's lightsaber to the ground and sat on the ground. He heard someone walk over to him and when he looked up he saw a familiar looking man.

Picking up the lightsaber, Luke tried to attack the man, but the man used the force to push the lightsaber out of Luke's hand.
Man: I'm not here to fight.
Luke: But your an Inquisitor!
Man: No, I'm a clone of the Inquisitor. I betrayed the Empire and became a Jedi. Like you.
Luke: No. I'm not a Jedi. My father was.
Man: Who was your father?
Luke: (Y/N) Rose-Branwren.
Man: Who are you?
Luke: Luke Rose-Branwren, but my mother's raised me. So I use the name Nikos as my sister does.
Man: Nice name. My name is Starkiller or at least the original Starkiller called that. But he has forgotten his real name, so call me, Galen Marek.
Luke: How strong are you with the force?
Galen: How do you think I found you?
Luke: So are you here to join our little Rebellion?
Galen: Yes and no.
Luke: What do you mean?
Galen: Who is your master?
Luke: Cal Kestis and Cere Junda taught me how to use a lightsaber. But not the force.
Galen: What happened to Cal?
Luke: Darth Vader killed him, while protecting me.
Galen: I'll be your master.
Luke: What?
Galen: I'll teach you all that I know of the force.
Luke: Thank you. Master.
Galen uses the force to pull Luke's lightsaber over to him and then he hands it to Luke.
Galen: What saber form do you use?
Luke: Five, why?
Galen: Just curious. How much do you know of the force?
Luke: Nothing.
Galen: Then we will have a lot of catching up to do. Come, I have something for you.
Luke: Yes, master.
The two walk away from Beacon and into a ship.

Woman: Galen, who is this?
Galen: This is Luke Rose-Branwren. My apprentice.
Droid: Hello, I am PROXY.
Luke: Wait, what happened to your master?
Galen: He died.
Luke: How?
Galen: Old age.
Luke: Was that his lightsaber?
Luke pointed at the hilt.

Galen: Yes. But now it's looking for a new Master. Take it with you on the way back to Beacon. Maybe it will find someone.
Luke: Yes, master.
Galen gives Luke some clothes.
Galen: Try these on, when you get back. I'll meet you at Beacon.
Luke nods and walks back to Beacon with his Father's lightsaber and Kota's lightsaber clipped to his belt.
