Episode I: The Arrangement

Din stood there above a defeated Bo Katan. He was panting, she was bleeding. The spear she was previously holding was discarded at her side. Din had the dark saber in his dominant hand.

She looked up at the Child of the Watch and cursed mentally. "Dank Farik!" She exclaimed. She through off her helmet and shakily stood up on her two feet. "Are you okay?" Din asked softly. "No! I'm not! If I can't beat a simple bounty Hunter how in Mandalore's name am I to restore my home!"

The gym of the Moff's light cruiser had an atmosphere so thick that it could be cut with a knife.

Koska looked to the ground. She never wanted to see her lady in such a state. Frustrated. Defeated. Helpless. "Look. I'm sorry--" "Save it! You enjoy this don't you!? Kicking my ass left and right!" "What! You think I want this! Listen, Kryze. It's not my fault I lost it to some Imperial. Don't blame me for your failure!" He shouted.

Koska stomped up and shouted, "Watch your mouth Watcher!" "Or what!? You're gonna tickle my feet?" He taunted. "Son of a Bantha!"

"Stop! He's right. I--." She clenched her fist and jaw. "I'll be in the medbay getting some bacta. Alone" She sighed. She grabbed her helmet and limped outside. "Alright Watcher. Your lucky I didn't get my hands on you." She threatened. Din stood there. His helmet hid his downcast face. "Waste of Beskar." She mumbled.

Mando walked outside where he saw Cara standing in the hall. "So, you beat her again?" She asked. "Yes. For the 13th time." Din answered with annoyance. "Can't you just let her win?" "She'd notice and not except the Darksaber. I've learned about it's history during our brawls. It was forged by Tarre Vizla. The only Mandalorian Jedi. I've also learned about the Jedi. Our history."

In Cara's mind she contemplated her decision not to peak at his face. Though it might not have been possible. To her knowledge one person other than the Jedi and the kid have seen his face, Miggs Mayfield. She felt jealous that an ex-imp saw the face of her trusted friend. She knows he has brown hair and fair skin but she knows nothing more.

Din spent some time chatting with his partner in crime and justice. Suddenly a wave of guilt washed over him.

"Excuse me. I left something in the medbay." He lied. Cara raised an eyebrow, "If you say so."

If walked inside the room to see Bo trying to apply bacta to her upper back. She had removed her upper body armour and clothing leaving her in a black sports bra. Common for female Mandalorians while out of armor.

"Need help?" "You don't have to come all this way just to rub it in." She said softly. She couldn't reach the spot so she satisfied with squeezing the rag and letting the bacta flow down her back.

Din closed the door and found a clean rag. "I'm not here to flaunt. I am just trying to help. I'm sorry for what I said." He apologized as he soaked the rag in bacta. He stepped up behind her and began wiping her bruise gently. She groaned in discomfort and embarrassment. "I'm... Sorry aswell. Your right. I lost the Darksaber. I failed my people." Her words echoed off the walls. The cooling sensation of the bacta was the only thing she felt other than, pain, sorrow and remorse. "Is there no other way I could relinquish the Darksaber without any major conflict."

"Yes..." She answered, "but you're not going to like it."

Din soaked the rag again and began wiping around her shoulders and neck where he had laid some heavy chops to her clavicle. "Please tell me it doesn't involve my death." Said the Watcher. "No. It involves... Marriage." Din stopped. Bo turned around and stared at the Beskar soldier. "For me to have rulership or atleast co-rulership, I would have to be able to keep up with you in combat. If I can then I become an eligible bachelorette for the taking of the Mand'alor in question. I have already proven we are relatively equals, though you have an edge over me due to.... Whatever makes you worthy of the Darksaber." She noted.

"So let me get this straight. If I am to relinquish the Darksaber I have to marry you?" "Not exactly. I would get rulership of the politics and military as Commander. You on the other hand would have the same responsibilities but with more authority. You would be Mand'alor Superior and I would be Mand'alor the Second." She corrected. "You know I can't just marry a stranger." "You wound me. Afraid of being with an older woman." Bo teased. "You don't even know my name." "Actually, I checked the ship logs earlier. Din Djarin I believe. Tell me, do you belong to a clan?" "Clan Mudhorn. House Djarin." "Mudhorn?" "Me and the kid killed a Mudhorn. Later it became our clan symbol. I'm but a clan of two."

"Well. Let's make a deal. Marry me, join the Nite Owls and you help liberate Mandalore and after you can 'disappear' into obscurity. What do you say?" Her offer was tempting. Being left in utter obscurity while also having the comfort most men would only dream of. "I'll do it on one condition." "What's that?" "I will not be joining your clan. Instead we merge them." "Deal."

They shook hands and it was sealed. They were engaged...well. "Actually, how does the engagement process work?" Din queried. "We fight. You propose with a gift." Is all she said. "We already fought so we just need a gift. Would the spear be sufficient?" "Yes it would."

"*Sigh* okay then. I guess it's a semi public proposal?" "Yes and one other thing. Don't get attached. That would make things awkward." "After my altercation with the child... I don't think I'll ever be attached to anything other than my Beskar." "Good man. Gimme a sec."

She dawned her tunic and the replaced her breastplates, shoulders plates and vambraces. Finally her jetpack clipped on with a beep and satisfying clip.

The two walked outside of the Medbay and into the gym. It was then Din came to an awkward understanding. He was the only male. Big oof.

Din picked up the Beskar spear and admired it's simple design. He turned to Bo Katan and improvised, "Bo Katan Kryze. Leader of the Nite Owls. Matriarch of Clan Kryze and last descendant of House Kryze. I give you a gift of proposal... For your hand in marriage."

Cara, Fennec and Koska were in utter shock. "You slimy--!" Koska started but was interrupted by Bo's response. "I, Bo-Katan Kryze, accept your proposal."

"Antie! Are you insane!?" Koska roared. Her aunt was never one to accept such offers. "No, my niece. I've come to a compromise."

Though Koska doesn't look it she's actually from the Kryze Branch family. She was more of a distant cousin but due to their closeness she has earned niece status. "In exchange for co-rulership of Mandalore, I proposed the idea that I marry, Din. It was my idea. I'll do almost anything to restore Mandalore."
