-At the principal's office-
"Troy, you have to apologize to Jason." Said the principal angrily.
"I am not apologizing."
"If you won't then you will have to get detention and you will not be free this Friday."
"I'd choose detention."
"Fine then! You have to come this friday. AlsoI have to meet with your parents." She said as she shot me a look. "Jason you can go." As he walked out of the office.
"You are not getting away." I whispered as he took a stand.
"What did you just stay." She asked.
"Nothing, I said that my parents are on a trip."
"Troy?"
"I swear. They had to leave."
"And why would they leave you?"
"Grandma is sick. She got cancer, again." I nodded.
"I am sorry to hear that. You can skip the detention by the way."
"Are you serious?" I asked happily.
"Yes I am. But promise not to tell anyone about it."
"Thank you! I promise not to tell anyone! Can I talk to you about something?" I asked hesitating.
"Sure. What is wrong?"
"Harry. I mean is it true that if he will keep skipping school will he get suspended?"
"To be honest, yes. Don't you know why is he absent, I mean since you are his best friend you sure know the reason why."
"We are no longer friends, he gave up on me. He is walking the wrong path." I replied sandess was clear in my shaky voice.
"I am sorry to hear that. I know he is your best friend and I know you won't give up on him. If you promise to bring him back from the path he is walking I will do my best to preserve his place in our school." As she took out her pinky finger. "Pinky Promise?" I sighed and took her pinky in mine.
"I promise." I answered with a smile on my face. "Now excuse me, I have a mission to accomplish."
"Go for it."
I walked out of the office. I found Emily, Peter, Lauren and Miley waiting for me.
"Is everything alright?" Asked Emily.
"Yes!" I smirked. "She wants to meet my parents, I told her that they have to be with grandma."
"That's it? We though that you are going to get in trouble." Said Lauren giggling.
"Aren't you going to play football?" Asked Peter.
"No, I'd rather go home. I need to study." I lied.
"Then let's go home, I'm so tired." Said Miley as she held my hand. I blushed. She is acting in a normal way but they won't take it the way I do.
As we walked away I heard Peter whispering: "Are they dating?"
"Are you okay, Troy?" She asked as we went out of school.
"I'm okay."
"Are you sure? You almost killed him." She giggled.
"I wish I could. It's because of him that me and Harry don't talk to each others anymore. Kind of because of me." I whispered.
"Because of you? How?" She asked.
