I only have three days left before I leave to go to Virginia, so I called my best friend Daryn over to tell her everything. She's one of us too her Dad is the third in command in the Moon Mist pack.
When I got done telling her everything she looked at me like I just killed her puppy.
"Wtf Tay" Darny said as she held her mouth open waiting for an answer.
"I'm sorry D but my mom made my dad a promise and he would be really upset with me if I don't follow through" I said as I held my head down playing with my fingers.
"Yea whatever, now I'm going to be lonely on OUR BIRTHDAY" Daryn said with disappointment in her voice.
Ohh yea I forgot to mention that me and Darny had the same birthday. Whoops my bad!
"I am so sorry D I really am" I said trying to think of a plan to cheer her up.
My head shot up and a big cheesy ass smile popped up on my face. I lashed at Daryn and pinned her under me and screamed out "Come with me to Virginia"
She looked at me as is she was trying to decided on what to say. Then she gave up and sighed out a "sure"
I got up and did my happy dance which made Daryn bust out laughing. I knew that would make her laugh.
Two days later
I ran down stairs with my bags and MK purse in my hand. When I made it down stairs my mom and Daryn were already waiting at the door for me.
My mom said hurry Tay we're late. We rushed out of the door and headed for the airport.
The car ride there was short and quiet. We made it to the airport in 15 minutes. We got everything situated nothing was left to do expect say our goodbyes.
I turned to my mom who had a wide grin on her face. I don't know what was wrong with her. She grabbed Daryn and hugged and kissed her and said goodbye.
She ran over to me and kissed me a million times and said "I'm gonna miss you princess". Okay okay mom I'm gonna miss you to now cut it out you're embarrassing me" I said laughing while hugging her back.
She whispered "I hope you and Daryn find your mate while you guys are away". Her words made me stop breathing for a second because I never really thought about having a mate it was never that important to me, but to Daryn it was everything.
I quickly shook my head and said "yeah me to" while trying not to make eye contact. I kissed her cheek and said love you before boarding the plane.
I sat down next to Daryn and put my earbuds in and blasted my music regretting I ever agreed to this shit.
Welp its to late get out of it now.
I guess it off to Virginia we go!
