Rick just stared at me, and blinked. He probably couldn't believe that I, Nerdy Venetia, was in the mafia. Mariyah, my informat, let out a small laugh.
"Venetia, you're always so dramatic with introductions. I swear, the movies that you've been watching has gotten to you." she said, flipping back her curled blonde hair. She pushed up her glasses as her calculating green eyes looked at Rick, "How cute, he's all frozen up."
Primeiro scowled. He pushed back his raven long locks and pulled them into a small ponytail. His dark brown eyes glared at Rick. Primeiro was never a calm person, and acted all tough. His loyalty, though, was unmatched. He glanced at me, "Capo, who's this kid? Don't tell me he's another member of the famiglia, he looks like he's about to piss his pants. Seriously."
I let out a loud laugh, "No, he's not. Antonio, I want you to take him to our interrogation room. I'll have Alvise send you the details later. Now, I have some business to take care of. Fabio, I want you and Sonia to call headquarters and tell them to do a background check of the Lupo from these past six months."
Fabio and Sonya nodded. They were a pair of twins, with curly light brown hair and hazel colored eyes. The youngest in the higher ups, but still skilled as individuals. They mainly worked as a team on missions, though. Antonio was my interrogator, and was surprisingly bubbly for someone working in the mafia. He had dyed red hair and dark brown eyes.
Antonio nodded and gestured for Rick to follow him, "Come on, kiddo. Let's go, we need you to tell us some things. I'd be better if you cooperate, if you know what I mean."
Rick stared at me, fear evident in his eyes. I sighed, "He's not going to hurt you. Just answer whatever he asks and you'll be fine."
After the two left, Sonia and Fabio followed. Then Alvise gestured for Mariyah and Primeiro to follow him to the interrogation chambers. I left and walked up the right stairs. Then, opened one of the doors that led to the famiglia's offices. I walked all the way down the hall, and opened the last door. The door to my office. I sighed and walked to my desk, letting myself fall into the soft swivel chair. I swirled around to face my desk, opening my work laptop, and opened the video-chatting app made especially for the Pericolo and their Alliances. I scrolled down the contacts list and found the person I was looking for. Seeing that they were online, I clicked the call button, letting it ring a few times until the person finally picked up.
A man's face appeared on the screen, his handsome features holding a scowl. The man had slicked back blonde hair and brown eyes, a small scar on his right eyebrow. Of course, it only added to his intimidating appearance. This man was Paolo, my childhood friend and boss of the Ombra Famiglia.
"What do you want? I'm in the middle of signing these damn papers. They never stop piling, I fucking swear, if I sign one, ten more will appear."
"This is what happens when you decide to ignore your work for a whole week," I grinned, as his scowl deepened and he let out a angry 'Fuck off'. "Anyways, I need your famiglia to be ready for any type of infiltration. I have a feeling that something is up with the Lupo."
"What? The Lupo? What makes you think that those bastards are up to something? They've always been small fry."
"I've just meet a subordinate of the Lupo here. In America. If they've extended their branches to America, then that's a big deal. Besides, our family hasn't been tracking them lately. We need to be cautious."
He though for a moment and sighed, "Fine. I'll guess you also want me to contact the other allies about this. I'll do that. By the way, how's America? I got word that you've been having a wonderful high school life."
