"You will serve as the personal maid of prince Cyrus Liaris, the heir of the Elvirania kingdom,"

That one sentence kept repeating over and over in my head. I just couldn't believe it, me a personal maid, I could barely provide for myself and now I'm a maid to the person who led to my captivity, I could never.

I'd decided not to dwell on my thoughts and instead do something I had wanted to do since I got here, explore, and now that I'm allowed to since I'm part of the higher part of the castle staff, I can.

So I closed my eyes and spun around five times and when I opened my eyes I started walking in that direction and at every corner when there was more than one way to go I'd do the same thing till found a place I wanted to go.

It's had been was around mid-day and so far I'd found the kitchen, garden, stables, ballroom, and a couple of fancy bathrooms but I wasn't really satisfied yet so I decided to keep going and that's when I found this grand door. It was not as big as the courtroom door but it was certainly more beautiful, with it's gold carved books and vines entaingling them,it was truly gorgeous.

Like I was in a trance I immediately pushed open the huge door and the sight I saw was tremendous. It was books, millions of book of millions of genres and it was all in front of me, three stories high.

I couldn't help myself as I ran inside almost tripping over myself. It was just so extraordinary that I was lost for words and you might think I was overreacting but if you where in my place you would've most certainly fainted. And as I stared down the sight I front of me I realised there was a whole other thing for me to explore, the books.

Every book of every genre that I could carry was soon spread over a wood-carved antique table, as I engrossed myself in every one. Books we're my favourite thing in the world, being able to be in a whole new world was just magical.

The day I had my first magical experience with a book was the day my life changed forever.

Flashback-
It was dinner time at the Norra house hold and they'd invited the whole village of Lirola to a feast in honor of Sun day, the day the sun goddess brought light and fire the planet of Earth, home to faeries, werewolf's, vampires, elves and much more. Lirola was located right next to the forest so the Norras which consisted of loving couple Erina and Killian Norra and their seven-year-old daughter Thessalia, went to the forest to collect berries and other necessary things for the feast and out of curiosity, the little daughter decided to wander off following a butterfly. She followed the little insect all around in till she found her self falling on the dirt. She realised she tripped over something and when's she turned around to find the thing that caused her scraped knee she saw a metal box. It had intricate patterns all over it of flying alive and dead people. Like little Thessalia didn't have a mind of her own her own, her body moved closer and closer to the metal box till she finally touched it. Suddenly the box shined a bright light and slowly opened up revealing a dark blood red crystal. 'Destroy' it told her 'destroy until theirs nothing left'. Suddenly her eyes turned black and she started walking closer and closer to the village of Lirola. When she finally got their she saw her parents and and the whole village in the town square. 'Destroy' the crystal voice reminded her and that's when it's started. Fire, it was everywhere burning houses and people alike. Cattle was running, babies were screaming and in the middle of all this havoc stood thessalia her eyes dark and her body burning everything around her. Erina knew her daughter was the cause of the fire, she knew she was the cause of the deaths and she knew why, so just before the mother was engulfed by the flames she said her last word that changed everything 'never forget, I love you' and with the crystal satisfied and the mothers powerful last words the fire just stopped. Realising what she just done the poor confused girl ran. She ran and ran till she tripped over something again. Slowly she turned around to see what it was but this time, to her relief, it wasn't an evil crystal but a bedtime book. So as thessalia read the story about a girl who lived a magnificent life of adventure and heroics in the woods, she drifted off to sleep imagining herself as that same girl who was only filled with happiness and laughter.
End of flashback-

I smiled as I thought about the girl who lived in the woods and how that became my life later on. But who would of thought I would've found comfort in the place of my captivity.

Books can do that. They bring you to a whole new world where you can be finally be happy and content, a place you can be loved, a place that you know you can never be in yet it still makes you feel better than reality, books still do that and I always think they will.

As I looked through my random pile of different books one caught my eye.

'Down by the river mmh looks peaceful and I think that's what I need right now'

So I picked it up and was transported into the world of a love story between a nymph and an elf and just as I was about to find out if the nymph was actually dead or alive I heard a voice.

"That's my favourite book you know."
