Even though my life is wonderful, I still feel super empty. Like there's this void. I mean I have a wonderful wife, a baby girl, big house and cars, family and friends, and a master's degree in Business. I just don't understand. Maybe this has to do with God. I am just not ready for Him yet. Why did he let my mom die? I gotta call Momma.

I called Shana's mom aka Momma. She's a pretty wise woman and I am sure she can help me with this internal conflict.
"Hey momma. It's Luke. Do you have some time? I've gotta ask you a question. " I said.
" Yeah baby. Is it about your marriage? " She asked.
"No. No. Not at all. I just wanted to ask why I have this void like I'm not complete! I don't understand. I have everything I need." I said.
" Well baby....I knew this was coming. God told me that He wants you to come to Him. That's why you feel empty. You don't have the love of Jesus Christ. " She said.
I just looked at the phone. I was silent. I didn't know what to say to that.
" It's a lot to take in. I know it. But, I'm heading in the hospital now. My shift is about to start. You call me later baby. But for now, go to www.biblegateway.com on your phone and look up Mark chapter verse 36 ok? And pray to God for understanding of that. Bye now. Love you. " She said. And with that, we hung up.
A Bible verse? And Momma wants me to pray? What is this? Oh well. I'm sure Momma knows what she is talking about. I guess the Lord told her. I mean, how else would she know? ...........
Hey y'all. I wanted to give you a filler chapter. But! This is a really important chapter for the development of the story. Most of you probably know that I am a believer and I wanted to incorporate this into the story.
Bible gateway is a real website that contains scripture. I hope that through this book, those of you who don't believe will be prompted by the Holy Spirit to get saved.
I'm not trying to force you or beat you over the head with my beliefs however.
