It was a regular tuesday in Morioh. Josuke was woken up by his mother and was ready to be sent off to school. He was waiting for his friends, Koichi and Okuyasu when he ran into Joseph Joestar.
"Hey Mr. Joestar what's up" said Josuke
Joseph seemed in a hurry, still holding the baby Shizuka, as he passed Josuke.
"Sorry Josuke but today is an important day, I must get doing"
Josuke was confused, he didn't recall today being a special holiday, and now that he thought about it, Okuyasu and Koichi were surprisingly late.
"What do you mean Mr. Joestar? I didn't know today was a holiday" said Josuke
Joseph was in shock.
Josuke stood there confused. "Are you alright Mr. Joestar?" he asked.
"Oi Josuke" said someone idk
Josuke turned around to see Jotaro, Okuyasu, Koichi, Rohan, and even Yukako.
"Were heading to Tonio's, today is a special day you know" said Jotaro
"Yea man, Josuke totally knows what day it is man" said Okuyasu
Josuke had no choice but to play along, he couldn't look uncool in front of his friends. He was sweating and it was obvious he didn't know what was doing on.
"Pfft, Josuke doesn't know what day it is, it's obvious." said Rohan
"O-of course I know what day it is!" Josuke said nervously
Jotaro stared with suspicion, Koichi gave a sympathetic smile, Okuyasu was staring at a bee, and Yukako looked angry as usual.
"Hey guys lets not fight, we should start heading to Tonio's" Koichi said, to Josuke's suprise
"We're not going to school today? It's a Tuesday" Josuke said
This question raised more suspicion among the group, but they still carried on to the trip to Tonio's, bringing Josuke along.
They soon arrived at Tonio's, which made Josuke very excited, as they all sat down at their table and as Josuke checked the menu, he noticed that today's special was tacos. He was confused, Tonio's was a Italian restaurant, and as far as he knew tacos were a Mexican thing. He looked around nervously to see what the others would order, knowing that they came to Tonio's for a special event.
"Hello what can I get you?" said the adorable Italian chef
Josuke looked around nervously, seeing that the others were staring at him, like they expected him to say the first thing, but if he ordered something wrong they would laugh at him forever. Then, he got an idea.
"I'd like to get the special Tonio" said Josuke.
He quickly stared at the others to see their reactions, they seemed more relaxed than before so he said something correct. This special event had to do with tacos, which was confusing. What holiday was all about tacos? Josuke tried piecing together the clues, he went to school on Monday yesterday with Okuyasu and Koichi, so something had to be special about Tuesday. This never happened until Joseph came to Japan from America, so he assumed that Joseph had shared this taco tradition, but without telling him? Josuke didn't even realize that everyone else had their food until Okuyasu noticed he was spacing out.
"Hey man, whats up? You seem totally spaced out man." said Okuyasu
Josuke snapped out of it and was shocked he was spacing out
"Oh yea, sorry Okuyasu, guess I'm just tired today" Josuke said, which he knew was a lie.
He stared at the others at the table. Jotaro was eating the taco like a normal person, Joseph was feeding some of the taco to Shizuka, Okuyasu was eating it very messy and had bits of food on his face, and Rohan was sketching the taco to use for his "art". Josuke finally looked at Yukako and Koichi, seeing she was force feeding him the taco like he was a baby, and Koichi was crying.
Josuke took a bite out of his taco. He felt like he should bring up the fact he had no idea whats going on with this Tuesday taco eating tradition. He knew Rohan would make fun of him, but at least Koichi would help him out.
"I have to go to the bathroom" said Josuke, standing up
"Oh yea, me too man" said Okuyasu
Koichi, feeling left out, also joined the group, which made Yukako angry.
As the trio entered the bathroom, Josuke made sure the door was locked and quickly turned to the others.
"Guys, I'm being completely honest here, I have no idea what's going on or what day it is." Josuke admitted
Okuyasu choked on his left over taco he was still chewing, which was quickly fixed by Crazy Diamond
"It's ok man, *cough* we totally got your back man *cough* we would never EVER judge you man!" said Okuyasu
"Mr. Joestar, your father, told us about the tradition while he was visiting" said Koichi "He told us that in the west, every Tuesday they would eat tacos, known as 'Taco Tuesday'. Jotaro also knew about the tradition and called it useless, but the rest of us were excited to try it out."
Josuke crossed his arms and said "Why didn't you tell me what was going on? And you skipped out of school for this? I mean I would understand Okuyasu skipping school for tacos but you Koichi?"
Okuyasu was very offended by the comment, but didn't say anything in protest
"Rohan didn't want to tell you I guess, I didn't expect such a crowd to join, but Rohan wanted to join just to spite you. Yukako came along just because I was going" said Koichi
Josuke was angry by Rohans actions but he didn't do anything violent. Instead, he smiled and embraced his friends. Now he was ready to celebrate this sacred tradition, for many Tuesdays to come.
