I wore a black and red shirt,and a pair of black jeans.
A short while later we arrived,and her mother let us in.The first thing I saw was Caroline.She looked beautiful, her Golden blonde hair,and ocean blue eyes matched her blue shirt and jeans.We both smiled at each other.
"Hey Jay!",she said
"Hi Carol!",I responded
We both went to her room,while our moms talked in the kitchen.She had a bigger room than mine,pink walls,and it didn't smell as bad as mine.I looked at Carol and saw that she had a sad,yet serious expression on her face.
"What's wrong?"I asked worryingly.
Next thing I know,she starts crying on my shoulder.Caroline always made me feel better when I'm in a bad mood,so it was time to return the favor.
"Its ok,don't cry,I'm here for you,don't worry"
She started to cry harder,but after a while she calmed down
"I-i,.......I'm moving to England,my mom got a job there."she said
My heart sunk.
What am I gonna do without her? I thought.
But instead I said "Well that's nothing to cry over"I said trying to sound happy.
"But......but what am I gonna do without you?"she said sobbing.
My heart skipped a beat.
Does she feel the same way? I thought
She let go and grabbed a small box from under her bed.She pulled out two necklaces,it was one of those friendship necklaces where each one has a half of a heart.One half had her name,and the other one had my name.Once put together they fit perfectly,with my name in the top and hers on the bottom.She handed over the one with her name to me,and she kept the one with my name.
"This way,we won't forget about each other"she said
I could tell,no,I mean feel that she was holding back her tears.
"And they're special,they glow whenever they're close"
"That's great"I said smiling,"thank you".
She then grabbed an old camera(the one where you take a picture,and it instantly comes out.)We tool one with her head on my shoulder(I kept that one)and she kept one with both of us smiling.We were happy for the moment,until mom called for me.
"Its time to go"
I looked back at Caroline and she was looking down.With my right hand I made her look up so she could look at me.I looked into her eyes when I said
"Don't worry,we'll keep in touch somehow,either through the internet,or mail"
Caroline smiled,but she was still sad,on the inside.I always was able to tell what she was feeling,....and she knew what I was feeling right now.We were both staring into each others eyes,we started getting closer,and closer,until our lips touched.She kissed me,and I missed back.It was perfect,I wanted to stay there for eternity,for the first time in my life,I forgot about the bad things.
But all good things come to an end.After we stopped,I grabbed the necklace and the photo.
"Goodbye Caroline"
"Bye"
I went home happy,but with a hole in my heart.
