oikawa woke up to the sound of knocking "come in" oikawa said as he sat up and rubbed his eyes "hello your highness" hanamaki said

"tch you know you don't have to say that when we're by ourselves makki" oikawa said "yeah i know it's just funny seeing you get annoyed" oikawa rolled his eyes

"ugh what do you want makki ?" oikawa said standing up "the king wants to talk to you" oikawa gulped "shit.." he mumbled under his breath

"please inform him i'll be right there" makki nodded and left and closed the door, while oikawa brushed his teeth and changed into approachable clothes

he went over to his fathers study and knocked on the door "come in" the king said "hello father" oikawa said "hello son, please sit down" oikawa nodded and sat down

"i assume you already know why you're here" his father said "yes father" oikawa said nervously

"well you're about to take over the throne, and i need you to find a suitable princess" oikawa sighed "but father-"

"no buts son, you need a princess" oikawa sighed once again "... yes father" he said standing up and he left the room with a frown on his face

he went to the kitchen because he was a stress eater "hello prince, would you like me to cook you some breakfast ?" oikawa looked at the maid

"yes, thank you" oikawa said smiling softly "i can't help but notice you are feeling a bit sad, why is that ?"

oikawa sighed, he had developed a friendship with every person in this castle since he wasn't aloud to go to school nor out in public since his mother was murdered by going out in public

"it's just.. father wants me to find a princess but it's just-" "but you don't want to since you don't like females" the maid said while cooking

"yeah.. i tried telling him but he cuts me off, and i just don't want to disappoint him" oikawa said softly "i know it's hard, but you have to tell him, he's your father, he won't judge you" the maid said reassuring oikawa

"what if he's homophobic and disowns me ?" "i've known the king for years now i know he's not homophobic, so you shouldn't worry about that"

oikawa sighed and put on a smile "you're right, thank you" the maid nodded "yes yes now here eat your breakfast" oikawa nodded and sat down in the table and started eating his food, once he finished he went to the kitchen to wash his own dish

"i'll wash it" the maid said "oh no it's okay i got it" the maid shook her head "no besides the king would be upset if he saw you doing any chores" oikawa sighed "it's just washing the dish, i can do it myself, i feel bad knowing all of you guys do so much work and i do nothing" oikawa said genuinely

"i know but we get paid for it so we don't mind" the maid said smiling softly, oikawa sighed knowing he won't win the argument, he then left to go to his room

he grabbed his phone and texted makki

wanna go outside in the backyard ?

makki:

oikawa turned off his phone and decided to take a shower, once he finished, he slipped onto more comfortable clothes, and grabbed his phone to check it makki texted him

makki:
he said okay

prince:
okay i'll see you outside !

oikawa turned off his phone and went to the backyard, which room him like 5 minutes since the castle is huge 🥲

once he went outside he saw makki there "hi makkiiii" oikawa said running over to him "hey kawa, now what do you wanna do"

"i don't know it's just so nice outside" oikawa said sitting down in the grass next to a willow tree "i wish i can go to school" oikawa said sighing

"me too.. but we can't" makki said sighing "oh my god so a random person texted me yesterday, he was my number neighbor which is what he said and he sent me a picture of himself and he has such beautiful arms, and face" oikawa said totally simping

"let me see" makki said, oikawa took out his phone and showed makki the picture "he's not my type but he is really hot"

"i know right, i wish i went to his school" oikawa said laying down "you should text him" makki said "oh i don't know, should i ?"

"i mean yeah i just told you to, but make sure you don't tell him you're a prince" "yeah yeah i know"
