"(Y/n) are you cold?" Fuyumi asks as she notices (Y/n) shivering in the corner, she just instantly knew she was sick, when she gets ill her quirk will malfunction meaning she'd either temporarily lose her heat quirk or her cooling quirk, otherwise she'd be nicely balanced
(Y/n) looks up at her older sister with a light pout, "you're sick aren't you," she coos as she steps away from her cooking to pick the small child up, Fuyumi felt bad for her knowing the only thing that will make her feel better is body heat well more specifically from something with a heat related quirk and both Natsuo and herself don't particularly have high body temperatures because of their ice quirk.

Soon after Natsuo returns home from his uni lectures and greets Fuyumi,
"Where's (Y/n)?" He asks placing his coat on the hook besides the door
"She's asleep, she'll probably wake up soon, the hot water bottle should be almost cooled now," she sighs,
"She's sick how's her body temperature?" He asks worriedly,
"Below normal,"
"So there's two options, we take her to dad or Shoto," he sets out.
"Actually there's only one, Shoto is away at that training camp till the day after tomorrow, so we might have to call him up," Fuyumi replies
"Really, that's our only option?" Natsuo groans, she nods.

They both hear (Y/n) as she starts to wake up as they can hear her whimper,
Fuyumi gets up and heads towards their younger sibling's room,
"It's fine I'll go sort her out," Natsuo assures her.

Natsuo peeks into her room to see the small child curled up into a ball on top of the bed covered in several blankets.
"(Y/n)," he coos looking over her,
She whimpers as she looks up at him from her bed and shivers, "cold," she pouts
He touches her hand and was shocked, "wow you really aren't feeling that great," he awes,
"I w-want Sho," she whimpers clinging onto her blanket
"Sho's away," he replies softly knowing it want the answer she was looking for,
She starts to tear up, Natsuo's heart just melts, he picks her up and holds her close to him despite knowing it wouldn't help her much, "Sho," she whispers longingly, "What about dad? He's warm right?" He says,
Her eyes light up but disappear "b-but he's always busy," she pouts
"I'm sure he can make time for you," he replies slightly hesitant.

Natsuo picks her up and wrapping her in the blankets and carries her back the dining room, "I'll call dad," he announces

"I wouldn't call you unless I thought it was necessary," he starts off
"What is it?" Endeavour asks a little worried because as mentioned its extremely unusual to receive a call from natsuo or anyone but Fuyumi,
"Can you come home and take (Y/n), she isn't feeling well and needs heat, heat that neither Fuyumi nor I can produce," he sighs
"I'll be there in 10 minutes." And hangs up.

Across the other side of town...
Enji grabs his brown jacket from the coat hanger, throwing it over his shoulder as he waits in the elevator.
The elevator dings as it reaches the underground car park, the 6'4" man rushes to his car and drives back to the family residence as quickly as he could.

"Uh, thanks for coming so soon," Natsuo says as he hands over (Y/n) to their father.
As soon as (Y/n) reaches Enji's arms she instantly looks more relaxed, and at ease,
Enji knew she found it difficult to sleep when her quirks were off balanced,
"We'll be going now," Endeavour announces before heading back to his car.

Natsuo closes the front door, he sighs in relief trying to recover from the awkward encounter, honestly he was surprised how quickly Enji came from his office.
Fuyumi grins at her younger brother, "Good job Natsuo, a some what functional conversation with dad," she praises him optimistically.

"Hey Enji!" Hawks calls as he exits the elevator "are you going out on patrol tonight?" He asks flying closer to the desk,
"No," the enflamed man replies bluntly,
"Woah what's with all the flames?" Hawks jokes, waving his hand in the direction where the immense amount of heat was coming from,
Endeavour calms his flames down a bit to reveal (Y/n) sleeping in his arms, "So this what happens when she's sick?"
"When she's sick her quirk get unbalanced, if she loses her fire quirk she needs human body heat preferably someone with a heat related quirk and if she loses her ice quirk it's a similar thing but with ice related quirk." Enji explains as he increases his flames once again.

"Hey, y'know what's great for sickness?" Hawks says aloud as he leans on the pillar taking his hands out from his pockets, "Chicken! And y'know who loves chicken? Me so imma head out and buy some chicken," he announces smacking his palms down on the wooden desk before making his leave. Endeavour doesn't even try and question the number two hero anymore, at this point in time there was no point.

(Y/n)'s eyes flutter open to see her father Endeavour, their eyes meet and she sees worry within his face,
"It's okay (Y/n), Papa's got you," Enji whispers trying to assure her,
this was out of character for the usually angry and short tempered man but he had been trying to become a better parent and redeem himself of the pain he had caused his family beforehand.
(Y/n) smiles at him snuggling back down in his arms.

Suddenly the door opens loudly and a strong but delicious smell of chicken wavers through the office, there stood Hawks in front of the desk holding several bags of takeaway, "Listen, I may or may not have bought out the entire shop," he says quietly with a slight smirk on his face as if he was proud of himself. "Anyway, which type of chicken do you prefer?" he asks,
Enji looks at him in disbelief but yet again did not bother to question it, "Oh I totally forgot! I bought chicken soup! that's meant to be good for sick people, right?" Hawks mumbles the last part beneath his breath as he takes out the bowl of soup from the bag and places in front of the two Todoroki's.
"Uh yeah, thanks Hawks," Enji nods awkwardly at the enthusiasm of the younger bird, who at this point had pulled a chair up to the desk and had already started to eat.

What was Endeavour meant to do now it was like he was babysitting two people, on being his actual child and the other being the number 2 hero who was mentally a child.

you may or may not have been wondering where tf has this chapter been, for those who have been wondering my answer to you is that honestly i also have no clue.
thanks for waiting such as awfully long time for this, i originally planned to publish this on the 21st of April as that would have been a year since starting this story but unfortunately school work delayed the finishing. it doesn't matter now as it is here!
