I had become disheartened
How had I not seen this guy—that Ink apparently didn’t hate kissing—before?It was the first time I didn’t want to hang around on the curb
I kept checking my phone for any email or text notifications
but there had been nothing for hoursInk was alone today
the cigarette smoke seeping out of her mouth
like smooth water
it was almost seductive
the way she inclined her head as the smoke tumbled down her full lips
