~ Coffee shop auuu! Enjoy! ~
Just your everyday busy but beautiful day in Japan, Vivian got off work for the day and was about to stop at a shop for something sweet and a coffee before heading back home. She entered the closest and most appealing looking shop and the little bell made a quiet *ding* as it swung open and re-closing.
One of the workers looked up over to Vivian's direction and the door, giving a friendly smile that caused her to smile back. She quickly read the menu above the cashier register and looked at the little displays around it before nodding to herself in confidence and walking up to the register. She didn't think much about the guy across from her until he turned around; she recognized him. You probably would too, since people don't normally walk around with forest green hair and emerald eyes to match almost perfectly. The two smiled at each other, immediately recognizing each other but not wanting to say anything, "hello welcome, what can I get you?" He asked "hey, um.. a coffee with sugar and a chocolate donut please" she responded, he quickly looked down to press the buttons in for her order. Vivian took the chance to see his name tag, since she'd forgotten his name. It read "Izuku". "8 Yen please!" He looked back up at her as she handed the coins over. She stepped out of the way for any people who would be behind her and sat down at a table, taking out some drawing paper and a few little supplies.
She started sketching the outside of the shop out of a whim, not realizing much herself what she was drawing, just the fact that she was enjoying it. Izuku eventually walked over to her table and just paused for a moment, watching as she was peaceful and focused on her sketching. He quickly shook it off and walked the rest of the way over, placing the plate with her donut and mug with her coffee onto the table. She looked up and smiled as a thank you, and he smiled back as a response, both trying their hardest to hold back blushes.
He quickly nodded and awkwardly walked away, she quickly looked away and took a sip of the coffee; hot enough to drink but not too hot to burn herself. She smiled at the idea that he did that himself to be careful, and she enjoyed every bite and sip of the snacks in front of her.
This process happened for about a month, both barely doing anything about it as their feelings slowly blossomed like flowers at it approaches spring, Vivian, one day, did manage the courage to ask him if he wanted to sit down, and he did, telling a coworker it was gonna be his 10 minute break, he got a coffee too and sat across from her. He ripped open a few packs of sugar and mixed them into his coffee, quietly humming a relaxing tune. She smiled and took another sip, and they chatted. The two were there for so long they didn't even realize the time; nearly 5 pm. Luckily they weren't busy so Izuku wasn't in trouble, but Vivian had to head home. "Would you like me to walk you home?" He asked, Vivian smiled and accepted.
The two walked home, side by side, and chatting again. They learned multiple things about each other; known, and unknown; basic and complicated, like old friends seeing each other again after years apart. She sighed of both relief and sadness once she saw her house get close, she never wanted this moment to end; Izuku didn't either, but it did. She thanked him for the walk home and without thinking much, gave him a hug, and he hesitated for a moment before hugging back. "Oh, please call me Deku if you'd like!" He exclaimed, she laughed and nodded.
A few days went by, the two get along like two peas in a pod you could say, but no one dared express or even mention feelings toward each other. Going as far as to avoid that conversation all together. Nonetheless they get along swell. After another long day at school, Vivian realized mid terms were coming up and panicked, going straight to the shop where she knew he would be to ask about it. "Deku I need help!!" She yelled as soon as she entered, not even letting the doors little *ding* sound meaning it had closed. He whipped his head around in confusion and raised an eyebrow, "what's wrong??" "mid terms! Can you help me study?" he went wide eyed to replace his once confused look, "s-sure, let me double check some storage in the back first and clock out." he quickly ran to the back room and about 10 minutes later walked out with casual clothes on and his apron and other work attire in hand. The two nodded in silent agreement and left the shop.
Vivian lead him to a little, quiet area near her house, so if she had to she could get back home very quickly. They sat down on the grass and used Vivian's notes, textbooks, and other items to study together, asking questions to quiz each other and using flash cards. After about an hour Vivian got hungry so she grabbed Pocky out of her backpack and started eating it, she offered a few to Izuku who also took some. "Ever heard of the Pocky game?" he asked, "obviously" the two again, in silent agreement, decided to play it. Slowly biting down, getting closer, they felt the nervousness build up; knowing exactly what was gonna happen. Vivian took a deep breath and went for it, taking Izuku by surprise in the kiss. Both of their faces were bright red and she pulled away, her face feeling on fire. The two smiled and kissed again, but felt somewhat shorter. "Do we really need to explain?" He slightly teased and laughed, she shook her head "shut it."
