3rd Person POV:
"Hi, my name is Louis... Whats yours?" Asked the young Louis Tomlinson with his most enthusiastic, yet sincere voice. He was quite an out going little boy. On the other hand, Harry Styles was quite shy. Especially because at first glance he thought that Louis was a girl, and he was quite embarrassed to discover that Lou was actually another little boy, like himself.
Harry stuttered as his eyes whipped up to meet Louis' "I-I'm Harry..." He barely cheeped out before returning his green eyes to the wood-chip covered ground.
"Would you like to play a game of tag with me and my friends?" Harry's heart beat fast. He never had many friends, and the only time he was ever invited to play with other kids is when their parents forced them to be polite and invite him, but he would still usually turn down their offers anyway.
"Uh no, it's okay, I don't want to ruin your game-" Harry stopped mumbling when he noticed the look on Louis' face. Louis wasn't used to being rejected, especially by other children, and he was quite sensitive about it when he was. Tears rolled down little Lou's cheeks in rushing streams. Harry gasped and a ball of guilt grew in his tiny little chest. "I'm so sorry!!! I'll play! I'll play!!"
He quickly embraced Louis in a tight hug, as Louis nuzzled his face into the crook of Harry's shoulder."You promise?" Louis raised his head off of Harry's shoulder and looked directly at him with piercing blue eyes, and worry sinking inside of him
"Yes." Harry mumbled. You could tell that he was far beyond his mind, out in his own little world, gazing into Louis' blue eyes as if they held all of the answers.
"We're gonna' be best friends." Lou said with a sniffle. Harry's stomach swirled in a tornado of butterflies. He had never had a best friend.
"Really?!" Harry whisper-shouted with delite.
"Really." Louis smiled from ear to ear, with complete bliss.

Louis' POV:
"Hello and welcome to iTV1 news!" I don't get why my mum watches the news. Theres never any good happy reports anyway. I sighed waiting for the usually tragic deaths and broken laws, and higher gas prices. "Muuuuummmmm! I'm 7! This crap is so boring! I hate it" I whined in the most high pitched annoying voice possible.
"Honey please let mummy watch the news, I want to see if the teachers at your friend Micah's school stopped protesting. Poor kids..." She sighed. I sighed too because I can never have a normal discussion or argument with her because she always ends up changing the subject, which makes me even more angry.
"Pleaassse can you put on cartoons!!!" I squealed, annoyed at how confusing my mum was.
"No! Now hush it's starting!" My mum pointed to the screen that finally was rid of horrid commercials. I stared at the LED plasma blankly, trying to see how long I could go on without blinking my eyes. Whatever was on the TV was totally irrelevant...
Until I heard something about a fire. I hated fires. That is what killed my dad. A fire. I got post-traumatic stress disorder from it. But luckily i got over it, with help from medication and therapy. But it still bugged me out to hear about them.
I listened to Maisy, the news reporter, letting the information sink into my 7 year old brain. "The estimated death toll from this apartment complex in the town of cheshire is now, sadly, at 4, this tragity struck at 9:37am this morning. The landlords of the complex had a lot to say about the incident. Take a look at this interview from this morning! Back to you Jill!" I glanced over at my mum, and to my surprise her eyes were also teary. She was still sensitive on the subject as well. I felt sad for her. Why does life have so much pain, and sadness. Why do young people die. Why doesn't God let certain people experience what others get to. I don't understand...
My train of thought was stopped short by a gasp that escaped my mothers thin tear covered lips. I immediately turned toward the screen in horror when I heard the last name 'Styles' being said by the landlord that was explaining the tragedy. A million-and-one thoughts raced through my mind. "He's DEAD!? HE IS DEEEADDD!!!!" I screamed in disbelief. Bawling, I ran straight into my mothers arms and she clicked the Television off. I nuzzled into her shoulder, just like I had done with Harry, in between sobs.
How could this be happening.
I had found the best, most perfect friend in the world, and he had just been killed, ironically the same way as my father.
It was all my fault. Maybe if I didn't curse him with my presence, like I did with my father, he would still be alive and in the flesh, playing with his fancy train set, alone at home. Never to have met me... For the better.
I sighed with bitterness...
