Holly

I had to get away. I can't stay here anymore. I'm a murderer. No one can know. Not even my brother's. Jacob and Leonardo can't know. They'll judge me. I revealed my history. We're not Holly, Leonardo and Jacob Claw. We are Holly, Leonardo and Jacob Pool. I kept running. Out of the city and into the woods. "Holly! Come back! We can talk this through!" My brothers had yelled as they tried following me. I stopped at a tall oak tree and collapsed onto the ground. My school bag crushed between me and the tree. Tears slid down my cheeks. I can't go back. I killed someone. Me. I'm the rule follower not rule breaker. I told the truth about my parents. I never realized how Mom - Aunt Sophie - always flinched when I called her Mother or Mom. Or when Aunt Leah - Mother - always looked at me and my brothers as if we were her children.

As I sat here, thinking, the day slowly turned into night. Where am I going to sleep? I stood up and continued walking. A tree root tripped me and I fell with a thud. I cried in pain, and tried to stand up. I fell back down. My ankle, sprained. Unconsciousness dawned upon me.

I woke up in a small cave. A boy, about my age, stared at me. "You're awake." I frowned, "Who are you?" "Francis Leaves. And you are?" "Holly Pool. Why are we in a cave?" "You ask a lot of questions." "Just tell me why we're in a cage." "This is my home. I live here." "By yourself?" "Yes. I got lost and I found this cage and moved here. Why are you in the woods?" "I ran away. I killed someone. And I can't live with the burden of being a forbidden child." "You're not forbidden." "Yes I am! I was not supposed to be born! My mother and my father broke the rules. I'm a mistake." He placed his hand on mine, "Stop. You were born for a reason. You will find one day your reason. Just stop." I sighed, "Okay. If you say so." I tried to stand up, only to fall back down. "Take it easy. It might take a while." "Thanks Francis." Sleep over came me again. I slept peacefully this time.

Francis

I've never seen such a beautiful girl. She had straight jet black hair and a very tall figure. She looked like a fighter. Her ankle looked swollen. I lifted her in my arms and brought her to my cave. Her backpack ruffled as I walked.

We got to my cave and I rested het gently on my sleeping bag. I sat beside her and watched every movement. What color are her eyes? I looked at her, trying to guess the color.

It's been hours since I found her. I was afraid she died. Until her eyes fluttered open. Green eyes. Beautiful. "You're awake!"
