Memories Of The Past

Chapter 1

May's P.O.V

The sun is shining through my window when I to my alarm blaring. Groggily I reach out for my phone fumbling around the side table without looking. Then once I grab it, bring my phone to my face while turning the screen on. Soon gasping when I see the time 8:50 AM!

My eyes widen in surprise school starts in ten minutes! How did it get so late! I spring up while shoving my blankets off of me, running across my room to the dresser. Grabbing my hairbrush then start shoving the brush though my hair as I look at my open closet wondering what to wear.

decide to just throw something together basically all I wear is dark colors, it'll look fine. After I finish brushing my hair, I get dressed in black tights and a navy-blue t-shirt soon throwing on my favorite black and red jacket. I down the stairs into the kitchen grabbing an apple and, on my way out the door, my backpack. I'm halfway down the street before I know it. Luckily the school is only like fifteen minutes away, so I'll get there, though still late.

As I run through the locker filled halls hoping a teacher won't see me, I try to think of a better excuse then I slept through my alarm. When I look up its just in time to see another student who's probably skipping class directly in front of me. And before I know it, I'm plowing into him knocking both of us to the floor with a thud then hear a pain filled groan directly in my ear. That's when I realize I'm not on the cold hard floor I'm on top of the guy I ran into! I say scrambling to get him "Sorry, sorry, sorry I didn't mean to-"

But when I look at the teen, I notice how close we are I can see the light reflecting off of his reddish-brown eyes. His medium length jet black hair is styled just enough to look natural, and I pause something about him is familiar. As soon as the thought crosses my mind my head starts to pulsate like from a bad headache though at the same time my stomach feels like it has butterflies. When I get a flash of what feels like a memory...

The castles flower garden was in full bloom, butterflies flying around me like the world was at peace. Though I find myself biting my lip while looking at the knights training together. One knight in particular was doing better than the rest as he effortlessly blocked their weapons with his own sword. His red and black armor shone in the sunlight; I couldn't take my eyes off of him till he glanced over to me then said to the other knights "I think that's enough for today."

The other knights as well the onlookers stopped and left to do other things as he walked directly over to me saying "is something wrong princess?"

My heart started pounding as I couldn't think of what to say when he stopped in front of me then looked down at me concerned, he soon opens his mouth to speak.

I suddenly zone back in jarred by the weird scene that popped into my head like a memory, still staring at the boy I ran into he clears his throat turning his head away slightly, turning pink most likely from embarrassment while saying "c-can you get o-off of me?"

My eyes widen and I feel my cheeks heat up in embarrassment as I finally get off of him and profusely apologize, he says when we're both standing a normal distance from each other "It's alright, just... Just watch where you're going next time."

His voice is strong like what just happened didn't faze him, but I notice he's fingering a large pendant on his necklace with the red and black jewels making the shape of a unicorn. So, he's most likely nervous, that's when I notice my heart is pounding and my voice won't work so I nod unsure what to say as I'm the one who ran into him. Yet he's making it out like it's no big deal, I guess it's not as nobody saw, right?

After a couple seconds, he walks off, but I notice its faster than a normal walk and I wonder did he a weird vision as well or the feeling of familiarity? Though soon remember the reason why I was rushing and ran into him in the first place, I'm late for class!
