AURORA BLACK WAS ALONE, there was no other way to describe it as she stood at Kings Cross Station. She watched mothers and fathers kissing their kids goodbye and she felt envious. She wanted a family like that. Aurora was raised by her grandparents, her mothers parents. Ophelia DeRose met death in 1981 and Aurora had been with her parents ever since.
Celeste and Albert DeRose stood solitary at the station. They were her grandparents, her mother was dead and her father may as well be. The DeRose house didn't want to play house to their granddaughter and made sure she knew how much of a disappointment she was. Celeste gripped her granddaughter's arm so tightly, she was sure a bruise would form, as she pushed her granddaughter towards the train.
"Behave this year or you know what will happen!" she spat in the ear of the Black girl, Aurora knew the threat wasn't empty and knew the consequences that would be waiting for her regardless of if she behaved or not.
"Yes grandmother." The young girl replied, her voice completely monotone. Pulling her arm out of her grandmothers arm, she straightened out her outfit before looking at the Hogwarts Express. She was finally going home.
Turning on her heel, Celeste apparated back to the manor, arm linked with her husband. Many muggle born families had moved out the way of the couple, who made their hatred of muggles very clear. Although the wizarding families were all grimacing at Aurora due to her fathers outbreak, ignoring the glares she looked back toward the train.
Aurora finally let out a breath she didnt know she was holding seeing them apparate away, she had heard only a few days ago of her fathers escape from azkaban. It made her nervous although she'd never tell anyone that. She feared the man that was supposed to be her dad. Anxiously gripping onto the moon which was hanging around her neck, she made her way onto the Hogwarts express.

In the last compartment in the Hogwarts Express sat Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. Each year the Quartet sat in the same compartment, only this time the compartment was already taken by a man sleeping in the corner. The trio took no notice as they took their seats waiting for their missing member, she was often the last one to board.
"So Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban to come after you?" Ron asked his friend with questioning eyes, he didn't understand why a mass murderer would escape for a boy at a Hogwarts. Especially when he knew it was Aurora's dad, wouldn't he want her? However, Harry said his father hadn't mention anything about Aurora being wanted too.
