Chapter 1 - Phone Call

As Sierra was running down the streets of New York to get the subway to work she could feel the breeze hit her face causing her natural curls to move from side to side. She's currently working as barista 20 mins from her apartment in New York while she pursued her dream job which was to be an actor, she had wanted to be an actor since she was a little girl when she used to watch old fashioned black and white movies with her grandfather it made her sad to think about it sometimes because he grandfather had passed away just before she had been accepted into drama school he was so excited to have an actor in the family.

As she was running to catch the tram to work she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket so she stopped at a halt because no one ever called her unless it was important. So she slipped her hand into her jacket pocket and pulled out her phone before looking at the screen to see it was and to her surprise, it was her manager so she answered the phone before placing it to her ear "Hello," She said nervously as all of her auditions recently had gone wrong and it downhearted her a little. "Hey, Sierra I've got you some news you know the video audition you did a few weeks back," her agent said which made her go all nervous.

"Yes," she said nervously "Well Matthew would like you to come in to start doing screen tests," her agent said which made her scream out loud and passersby's started to stare at her, "you ok," her agent said "yeah I'm just so excited when do I need to be in London for," Sierra said. "In 2 days are you able to be there for then," her agent said. "Yes," Sierra said answering her "I will call you later with the details congrats," her agent said before cutting off the call. She was going to be late to work but she didn't care she sent her boss a message resigning and began to head home she had so much to do in very little time. As she arrived through the door of her apartment she threw her coat and bag down on the couch before heading straight to her bedroom as she reached her room she walked and began to search for her suitcase which she eventually found was on top of her wardrobe.

Once she had pulled it down she placed it on her bed before opening it and began to pack what she would need for the trip to London, she packed clothes, toiletries, shoes, chargers and anything else she could think off-putting as much as she could into the suitcase however this made it hard to close so she had to push it down as hard as she could before it closed as it closed she made a sigh of relief before grabbing it and placing it in the corner of her room.

Before packing anything else she would need for the plane journey and then jumping onto her bed and laying down on it giving herself a few moments to understand what was going on because it still didn't feel real to her after everything she had gone through the past couple of months, she was going to be an actor which was her dream she laid there for a few moments before grabbing her phone next to her and began to book a flight to London she didn't need to book accommodation as they were providing it for her.

She was excited to go to London as she had never been there before so as well as doing her dream job she goes to explore a new place and the culture as well as acting her other passion was history and cultures of other countries. Once she had booked her flight she went to the messages on her phone and began to massage her best friend Issac who was also an actor he was currently filming a tv show in Toronto so she knew he would be just as excited as her as they had met at stage school. Her message said, "Hey, Zac guess what I've got my first acting gig in a new movie in the UK Thank you for pushing me to continue, text me back when you see this xx" she knew he would reply at some point but with the time difference he wouldn't reply straight away.

That night because it would be her last in New York for a while she decided to order her favourite takeaway from a small place in New York called Delilah's it was a small cafe and their food was amazing and underrated she thought that if she was going to be away from home for a while she should have her favourite food. After dinner, she set an alarm before placing her phone on the bedside table and got comity before she fell asleep which surprised her because she thought she would be too nervous to fall asleep.
