Anastasia Brookes is the name. I live in New York with my best friend Chloe. My mother recently died in a car accident. It's been hard but I have Chloe and my books. I am 20 years old. And I am graduating College, From Columbia. I know i'm young but I got into college at 16.
Anastasia POV
I'm getting ready in my room because I GRADUATE TODAY!!!!! after four flipping years!! But i'm really exited me and Chloe have a trip planned we're going around Europe. "CHLOE!!!!! we're going to be late!" i yelled for her to get dressed. I am wearing a red floral dress with a high slit. Chloe came out wearing a blue floral dress. " Copy Cat" she said " hey!! I was ready before you!!" i yelled lightly hitting her.
" Ouch!" she said like it hurt." that's what you get" we both started laughing. " are you ready for this" she asked with hesitation. I mean I think I am. I put so much thought into everything and now i'm getting scared. " Yes. So ready." and with that she smiled and took my hands. " okay did you pack everything you need and put it in the car" she said " i should be asking you that question" she's usually late for everything and always does things last minute. but not be I packed two weeks ago. " i was just making sure no need to be so mean" " sorry just really exited let's get going"
We walk to Columbia cause it's like 20 minutes away. We get the occasional Cat Calls and whistles. Chloe gets so mad at them and I just try to ignore them. But this guy seemed drunk. It's noon! " hey pretty lady" said the drunkie " not interested" i said " aww come on let's go have some fuunnn" he said grabbing my wrist. " she said back off!!" Chloe said while punching the guy. " hey come on he's not worth it" i said trying to get her to back away " damn right he's not" she said adjusting her dress. we walk away and make small chit chat then we get to the college.
" hey anastasia wait!!" i heard a familiar voice call out. It was Mrs. June the librarian. " i'll meet you in the auditorium" said Chloe as she walked away. " Hey Mrs. June" i say happily cause she was the best and i'm gonna miss her and the library.
" I'm glad i caught you" she said tiredly " me too!! I meant to say goodbye yesterday but everyone was crowding the school" " her i want you to have this" she said giving me an old looking book. " what is this" it's a book i found in a bookstore i went to" i opened the book and read " Land of the Fire Bird" i read aloud " yes I heard your going to Europe, it's based in Russia." i smiled and pulled her into a hug " thank you Mrs.June" i said almost getting teary " aww shush it's the least i could do for my favorite student" what? " wait, i'm your favorite student" i said a little shocked " Yes! I see big things coming for you in the future. Your extremely smart and Very very beautiful." I blushed a little "come on now. we got to get you graduated!!" she said with some authority.
We walked into the auditorium and say parents and grandparents filling the rows. I felt sad cause my mom couldn't be there but I have Chloe and she's all I need.
It was about 30 minutes later and i was watching Chloe get called on stage " Chloe Adams" said the dean of the school. " Go Chloe!!" i screamed while people clapped. Then it was my turn. this is it. It's actually happening all this hard work and late nights finally paid off in graduating... but it still feels like something is missing. " Anastasia Brookes" the dean said as i walked up to take my degree. Chloe whistles and that makes me smile.
I walk down from the stage with happiness beeping through me when i see someone a man he looks like he's from a dream with a perfect and i mean perfect face. he could be a greek god. I snap out of my haze with Chloe hugging me screaming " we did it!! we did it!!" i laugh " yes we did!!"
Me and Chloe are walking out of the school and we just turned in our cap and gowns. " okay ready to go to Europe!!" i say excitedly. " never been more ready" she said. And i suddenly ran into something hard like a wall " Shit, when did they put a wall there" i heard Chloe snickering and I'm confused i look up only to realize i ran into a Man. A massive one at that
