Chapter One:
My Best Friend Exorcises a Dog-Headed Man
My day couldn’t get any worse.
Before everything, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Victor Viltorian. I’m 13 years old, I’m a seventh grader. I am born in the Viltorius clan under the line of Nad’Roj the Zealot.
Well, where I live is called Corona. Corona is another world transverse to the real world. Weird, isn’t? Well here in Corona, supernatural and extraterrestrial things are real and alive. So it’s like a whacky world created by the Great Creator.
Legend has it that the first inhabitants of Corona were the Spirits of Chaos and Order until the human race came to claim it and sometime later, Corona was separated into two: Earth and Corona. And my family is connected to the ancient hatred with the so-called ancient ones, which caused the rift between man and spirit. And this hatred made the rise of the human era impossible.
So yes, my family line is the main reason why the spirits are scared of humans and were forced to hide. And that’s true, my family is scary. Some say the spirits are just waiting for the right time to return and overthrow the human race. But I know some spirits are with our side.
But I never knew the Legends were true until a dog-headed mancame to kill me. And after that encounter, I began to know who I really am.
I think that’s enough for the intro; time to go to the problem.
I was a seventh grader in Sir Charleston Memorial Academy; we had these annoying outing programs that drive me nuts. But in this particular trip, we visited the temple of Aqua in London and as always, our boring history teacher: Brock Winston gave another boring lecture.
Why is it boring? I don’t know, maybe it’s because it’s pure torture! But lucky me, I stayed in the back so I can hear his voice faintly.
“Now children,” Professor Winston was saying. “In front of us is the ancient shrine of Aqua, the ancient spirit of water.”
Winston is always calm and smiling, his kind brown eyes seemed tell you, “Relax because everything is fine.”, and your nerves will actually relax. He was wearing his favorite green polo shirt paired with his brown slacks and black leather shoes and his ginger hair was trimmed so with his beard making his form a friendly sight except for the scar in his forehead.
He smiled at us then continued.
“Our ancestors came to this very temple to seek advice from the spirit of Aqua in solving their problems a long time ago.” He said. “So now class, imagine how the spirits talked face to face with humans. Like a friend talking to a friend.”
The students yawned. They didn’t look impressed. I guess they are bored like me but somehow his words got my attention; it’s like he was exactly referring me to imagine. But this wasn’t the first time Winston’s lectures got my attention. It happened again in Silva’s Temple in Brazil. I was about to imagine when Elena elbowed my arm.
