Chapter Two:
We End the Tour with a Boom
I was stunned when Professor Winston entered with a breast plate and a crossbow.
Well if you saw this guy holding a crossbow, you’ll have second thoughts to scream or to ask questions. But I got hold of myself.
“Professor Winston?” I said. “What’s going on? And how did Billy become a dog-headed monster -”
“Canisian,” Elena offered. “And Billy was simply hosted by a Canisian spirit.”
“Hosted by a dog-man-spirit,” The idea made me queasy. “Whatever.”
Professor Winston sighed.
“Victor, there are many things you don’t know. I promise, I will tell you everything after we get out of this place.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Dude,” Timothy said. He was just finished tying Billy with a rope. “This gnoll didn’t came alone I sense more of them outside the shrine.”
More of them outside, that’s not good.
“First, we must treat your wound.” Elena said. I nearly forgot the Canisian’s attack. The pain still stung my arm.
I nodded and sat down. Elena knelt beside me tore the ripped cloth in my shirt and poured a bottle of golden liquid to my arm and slowly the pain went away relaxing me a bit.
“Timothy,” Winston said. “Scout the area, check if more Canisian monsters sensed our presence.”
“I’m on it,” Timothy said and frost coiled his fist forming a dagger. “I’ll be back in a second.”
Who are these people? I wondered.
“I should go and call for reinforcements.” Winston said and left the shrine.
And I was alone with Elena who looked anxious with my wound.
“I can make the healing faster.” She sighed.
“You can?” I blinked.
She nodded.
“Just… be calm. Don’t freak out.” She said.
