~Yaku POV~
I was walking through the park, the cold autumn air nipping at my face as I wrapped my scarf more around my neck. The yelling of children at the near by play ground to the elders that were feeding the pigeons. Everything seemed oddly peaceful, and I enjoyed it a lot. As I was walking down the pathway I glanced over towards the grassy opening that had a few trees here and there and leaves all over the place . I stopped walking and continued to look over there. There he was, sitting right in the middle of the pathway.
Lev...
Without realizing it, my legs started to move on there own as I made my way over to him. He was facing the opposite direction so he didn’t see me coming up from behind him. I also didn’t realize that when I zoned out that I couldn’t stop myself. So I bumped into lev as I tumbled a bit to the ground...and landed face first into the grass.‘Ow..’ I said to myself as I picked myself up. I heard him groan, “ What the-“. I said making it seem like I didn’t know what happened.“Yaku-San?” I heard lev say as I sat up to face him.
“LEV!?” I yelled surprised. ‘I’m glad my mom made me take those acting classes as a kid, they actually became useful.’ I sighed as lev looked at me, then smiled. “What are you doing here?” He asked as he fixed his beanie while looking at me. “Oh, well I was gonna go to the cafe that was near the park. Now, Why are YOU here?” I said, emphasizing the word you.
“Well I come to this spot sometimes to think about things, it’s sorta calming being in this spot. Although I’m loud most of the time I like the how quiet it is here, and I can’t help but admire it. I mean, it’s beautiful so who would enjoy it.” He said as he looked away from me and looked at one of the trees.
He then mumbled something I couldn’t hear but I shrugged it off, thinking that it was nothing. A gust of wind went by making me shiver and pull the scarf I had up to my mouth. “You seem cold, wanna go to the cafe you were talking about?Im sure it warmer there then being outside.” Lev said looking towards me still having that stupid cute smile on his face.
“I’m not cold you idiot. But sure I guess.” I said as we both stood up and started walking towards to cafe.
Lev got cookies and hot chocolate, I decided to get a coffee and a very large chocolate muffin since it was nearly 10 am on a Sunday and because I felt like it. After we got our food/drinks, we left the cafe since we were there for about 20 minutes, and it was starting to get crowded. I noticed that it got warmer outside, but still a little to cold for my liking. Although I wouldn’t admit it out loud, I enjoyed being with lev. Although he can’t receive a ball to save his own life and repeatedly likes to call me short for no damn reason at all. He is all an all very nice and I like that. He’s also pretty cute, but I would dare say anything about it.
I am quite sad though, I’m about to graduate and here I am crushing on someone who is 3 years younger than me. At least it’s 3 and not 10 or something so I shouldn’t complain. But I get sad at the fact about whether he even likes me or not or whether it would work out. The thinking about it made me anxious and I hated it, I wanted that feeling to burn.
“YAKU-SAN!” I heard lev shout and I flinched a little. “ WHAT!?” I yelled back as I turned to face him. “ I was calling your name but you seemed to deep in thought to hear me, but anyway we are here!” He said enthusiastically as he walked a little faster, I looked forward and he was right, the same place where I ‘accidentally’ bumped into him was right in front of us. I seen him sit down and I decided to do the same and sat right next to him. “Hey lev?” I asked as I took a sip of my coffee.
“Hm?” I heard him hum since he was eating some of the cookies he got at the cafe. “Do you like someone at the current moment?” I said while sipping my coffee while looking away. He looked at me for a moment then smiled. “Yeah, I do. Why?” He said, then looked at me. I felt my face heat up slightly and hoped that he would take it as it being cold outside. “No reason, just wondering. Would you mind telling me who it is?” I said sipping my coffee again, then stole one of his cookies and started eating it. “ Hey! If you wanted cookies you could’ve bought your own.” He said laughing.
I glared at him as I continued eating the cookie. “ Shut up, you took like 10.” I said while covering my mouth while talking. “Plus, you didn’t answer my question.” I said as I looked at him and bit the cookie again. “ Hmmm, well HE is very short, his name starts with a Y and ends with u, he’s a third year, he’s on the team actually.” He said looking at me with a smile on his face. I seen a slight pink hue on his cheeks which made me blush more and look away. “Baka... You’re talking about me, aren’t you?” I said in a pissed off way looking at him, since he called me short. He nodded as I furrowed my eyebrows. “Well I like you to, but don’t get cocky about it or else I’ll kick you.” I said quickly pulling up the scarf to hide my beet red face.
Lev’s eyes lit up, “Really!?” He said in excitement as I slowly nodded. He then proceeded to stand up and jump around laughing. The sun shone on his face making his face pop more than it normally would, I saved the memory in my mind as I picked up my muffin and started eating it. Lev then fell right beside me, his beanie falling off in the process. He was still laughing as his eyes were closed, I was glad because before I even noticed a smile made it’s way to my face.
I started giggling a bit but soon stopped once I seen lev looking at me. I took another bite of my muffin as I looked away. “ Why you stop? That was really cute.” He said as I looked at him. He had his head on his arms as he looked at me. I bonked his head twice with my fist as he sat up. “Owwwwwwwwww, what was that for?” He said rubbing his head. “The first one was for you to shut up, and the second one was for you being to cute.” I said. But then he did something I didn’t expect.
He bit MY muffin.
“That’s really good.” He said as he he backed up and wiped his mouth. I stayed silent. “Yaku?” Lev said looking at me. “...YOU GODDAMN TITAN, IM GOING TO KILL YOU!” I yelled as he got up and started running. I soon stood up and ran after him with my muffin and coffee in the little bag I had.
Needless to say, I kicked his ass. But then we went to his house afterwards, watched a movie and cuddled.
