Chapter 1

Kaylene's POV

Im so nervous....

I roamed the whole school just to find my classroom

Grade 12....... Grade 11...... Grade 10...... Grade 9, aha found it.

I was almost late because my classmates are starting to line up for the morning assembly. I place my bag at the chair at the last row.

I went outside and appraoched the teacher.

"Excuse me, Miss. Where is my place in the line?" I asked genuinely.

"Over there dear." She smiled at me.

"Thank you."

"Ok 1." She shouted while raising her finger.

They started to put their arms at their front. Lucky me I was in the front row so Im not doing what they are doing.

"Then 2." Then 2 fingers went up.

And they put their arms down.

"And now 3." Then three fingers were raised.

They fold their arms infront of them. Well this is an interesting school because we dont do that at my old school.

We started to walk to the gymnasium when Miss went by my side and wrapped her arm around my waist.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Kaylene, Miss."

"What a beautiful name. Where did you study before?"

"University of California, Miss"

"Ooh, nice school. Why did you move here to Lindale?"

"My dad was assigned to work here and my mom decided to build our company here." I explained

"What's your last name?"

"Kaylene Hale."

"Hale..... Hale..... Are you by any chances related to Erika Hale?"

"Yup. She's my mom."

"Oh nice. Send your parents my regards."

"Will do Miss."

While waiting for the program to start, somebody poked my arm and when I turned it was a girl, she had blue eyes, blonde hair, she has a beautiful body, her legs are long and she has tanned skin and you could really say she was one of the popular kids.

"Hi!!! I'm Jane McKinley."

"Jane?? Is that you??"

"Kaylene!!" She hugged me.

"Oh God. You look gorgeous! Its been what? 3 years?"

"Yup, it has been three years, I'll say the same for you. During those times, Im impressed, you really did changed. Is it me or did you do get even more gorgeous?" She gushed.

I love this girl so much. We met during mom's party. I was just hanging around alone when she joined me and after that well let's say destiny and fate pulled strings and has brought us together again and again. Her parents became our partners for Mom's company and after that we became the bestest friends.

"Well, thank you. How is it been?"

"Im good. How 'bout you?"

"Im fine."

"So what made your parents decide to let you study here in Lindale?"

"Well dad was assigned to work here and mom decided to build the company here."

"Finally!!!"

We busted into laughter.

"Good Morning students of Lindale High!!"

Let the show begin....

Jared's POV

"Jared!!" I turned my head from side to side just to find the owner of the voice. "Jared!!!" I turned my head to the right and saw her.

"Jared!!" She squealed. I wrapped her into a tight embrace. Its very hard to be seperated from your girlfriend for the whole summer.

"Brittney! Oh I missed you so much."

"Ohhh does this baby miss me so much?" She asked.

"Well, this baby doesnt miss you." I joked.

She faked hurt and we laughed.

We talked for a little bit while going to our class.

Once we reached the door, Tara, Brittney's bestfriend pulled her by the arm. Tara is a volleyball player, brown eyes, small pointy nose, brown hair, white skin and had a pretty good body.

"Oh hey Jared didnt see you there, so Im just gonna take Brittney away from you now if you dont mind." Tara asked

"Oh take her away, never liked her anyway." I joked

"HEY!!" Brittney shouted. Tara tried to stiffle her laugh(failed though) while I was laughing hard.

"Brittney, Im sorry. I was just kidding." I choked out.

"Well, you better be." She stomped away from me Tara following from behind laughing.

I joined my friends and chatted with them for awhile. Professor Lockhart entered the classroom and everybody hurriedly find a seat. I took a seat at the back row with my bestfriend Ross.

"Dude!!" Ross shouted.

Geez he is so getting in trouble. I thought.

"Mr. Anderson, mind telling us why you are shouting at Mr. Adams." Professor Lockhart said well more like scolded.

"Its nothing Sir." He said nervously.

"Well if its nothing, mind giving me the answer for the question Ms. Greene was suppose to answer." Prof. Lockhart said frowning.

"Im sorry Sir, but can you repeat the question?" He asked.

"Well Mr. Anderson the question is what do you call the distance covered by a given time interval."

"The answer would be speed Sir." Ross smirked.

"If your so confident then how much is the displacement if you run around a block and end up where you started".

"Sir that would be 0m because you go back to where you started", Ross answered trying not to insult him.

"Hmmm. I see that you were listening to Ms. Collins during your Grade 7 year in the least."

"Well yes sir, Ms. Collins is one of my favorite teachers."

Professor Lockhart cocked an eyebrow.

"After you of course Sir."

"Well, its nice to see that one of my students favor me."

"Wow Ross, 5 minutes of school and you just got in trouble and captured the heart of Prof. Lockhart." I said.

"Well, everybody just adores me."

"Your ego is so humongous its a surprise that it can fit inside your head."

"Well, thats what I am made for."

I just rolled my eyes and focused to what Professor Lockhart is blabbering about.
