[ophelia's point of view.]

I sat in a bench at the lobby of Evan Damon's apartment building, waiting for him to open up, hands on my lap and my back leaning against the bench.

The door opens up to reveal him, Evan.

"Hey. You're early. No one's even here yet!" Evan said.

I stood up from my chair, "You know me, Evan. Always on time." She starts looking around the apartment. "It must be lonely in this... three bedroom 4,400 square feet apartment."

"Not really, at least it overlooks Central Park. You live in New York's second-tallest residential building." Evan laughed. "Besides, I don't feel that lonely anymore, it's been four years since Adelaide left me."

"It's so sad, you even tried proposing to her that night, right?" I sat down on his couch.

"Yeah, but I'm okay now. I guess keeping myself busy is the best way to forget." Evan said, looking down. "What about you, are you alright?"

I sighed, "Sometimes memories are the worst form of torture. I still think about where I went wrong. It felt like a PR relationship, you know? I feel like I wasted 2 years of my life with him!" I raised my voice up, trying to let out a scream.

"You can scream if you want to." Evan said.

"No... I'm not gonna do you like that."

"First and for most, Phelia, you should be living for yourself. Living isn't always fun, in fact, it can occasionally feel like pulling teeth. But it should mostly feel fun, or at least something your enjoying."

Evan sat beside me on the couch and started patting my back. I felt like crying again. I always felt like crying for the past month.

I first met Darwin Flores about two years ago in a nightclub in New York City, he was an actor and I may say, we kinda hit it off that night.

Until, two years later, I found out...

He was cheating on me.

I should've expected it, Sadie was right, they were all right. I was too late.

Evan stood up and opened the door, it showed Sadie wearing a white turtleneck underneath a beige vest that looked like it belonged to his father, Darius, a racer.

"Sadie!" I stood up from the couch to greet and hug her.

"Hey there, Phelia." Sadie said, hugging me. "Evan." She continued.

"Hey, Sadie. How you feeling?" Evan asked.

"Really good, for now, I'll feel bad soon, that's for sure." Sadie said.

"I'm really glad you could join us on this meeting, but you do know Beck can fill for you, right? You're pregnant, Sadie, rest." I said.

Sadie sighs, "Can't I at least join the conversation and the brainstorming?" She makes hand gestures, "I wanna be a part of it, somehow!"
